AN incredible line-up of local and international music acts have been lined up for the Killarney Festival of Music and Food in June.

Burt Bacharach, Jools Holland, TEXAS, The Proclaimers, The Undertones, Something Happens, The 4 of Us, Declan O’Rourke, Gemma Hayes, Paddy Casey To will all perform during the weekend of June 27-28.

The Killarney Festival of Music and Food, is set to be a family friendly boutique festival which brings eclectic music, comedy and gourmet food together. Acts will perform across seven stages including Main Stage, Marquee Stage, Irish and Emerging Artists Stage, Comedy Tent, Acoustic Stage and Trad music stage.

Tony Fenton who hosted the launch event in L’Ecrivain, Dublin today said “Killarney Festival of Music & Food has something for everyone however we are particularly proud to support Irish talent – we are so lucky to have a wealth of talent in Ireland to choose from every year.”

Over 60 Irish and international musicians and bands will perform at Killarney Festival of Music & Food at including Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra featuring Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall & Mabel Ray, TEXAS, The Proclaimers, The Undertones, Wallis Bird, Mick Flannery, Gemma Hayes, Mundy, Paddy Casey, Declan O’Rourke, The 4 Of Us, Something Happens, The Frank & Walters,  Daithí, Gangs, Oh Boland, Steven Sharpe & The Broke Straight Boys, Tracey Bruen and Lloyd Yates.

Headliners and additional acts will be confirmed in the months leading up to the festival.

The Comedy Tent which is always hugely popular at the festival will feature ten top comedians from home and abroad including actress and comedienne Deirdre O’Kane and Après Match with Barry Murphy, Risteard Cooper and Gary Cooke.

The Killarney Gourmet Food Village will be an extensive showcase of wine and food not only for the region of Kerry but for Ireland as a whole.

The food village will be dedicated to excellence in taste and food lifestyles.  The area will feature well established restaurants from around Ireland, local artisan food producers and culinary demonstrations by some of Ireland’s finest celebrity and Michelin Star chefs including Derry Clarke from L’Ecrivain who will show foodies how to prepare Michelin star dishes at home.

Food vendors offering cuisine from around the world will also be on site to cater for up to 20,000 festival goers over the weekend.

There will be a Wine Bar featuring Wines of the World, a Craft Beer Lounge and a Cocktail Lounge where visitors will not only be able experience magnificent cocktails but attend cocktail making masterclasses.

A number of chill-out zones will be available for the visitors to sit and enjoy the festival atmosphere while sampling the delights that they have purchased.

The Killarney Festival welcomes all ages and of course kids under 12 years of age are allowed in for free accompanied by an adult when tickets are booked in advance.

The Killarney Kids Zone (KKZ) will have a fairground, giant games and kids’ activities for all ages including arts and crafts. There will also be cookery demos for children in the Killarney Gourmet Food Village.

· Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets  €76  (including booking fee)

·  2 Day Weekend Tickets   €142  (including booking fee)

· Children 12 years or younger go free – up to two children per paying adult when booked in advance

TEEN – 13 TO 17 Years of Age

· Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets  €41 (including booking fee)

· Weekend Tickets  €71 (including booking fee)

· Teen tickets apply to children 13-16 years – they must be accompanied by a paying adult

· ID will be requested at entry point to verify age.
