THE Irish Red Cross Tralee and Irish Red Cross Tralee Youth are letting the public know that their services are available to the community at this time of crisis.

With many people self-isolating — especially the elderly and vulnerable — they want to let people know they can collect and deliver groceries, get vital medications and household fuels to those in difficulty.

“Our volunteers are actively ready to help. We can collect and deliver to you. This service is free of charge,” reads a post on their Facebook page.

They can be contacted via Lynda 087-708-8395 or communitysupport.tralee@irishredcross.com or message their facebook pages. Irish Red Cross Tralee or Irish Red Cross Tralee Youth.

They say all of their ambulances are on standby and available to respond when requested and they also have a number of volunteers available and are actively on standby ready for deployment.

They recently have also been working with hotels in Tralee to redistribute food that they had bought but due to closing for the time being, cannot be used. This has been distributed to Tralee Soup Kitchen and the St Vincent de Paul Meals on Wheels.
