Irish TV will broadcast the ‘Ring of Kerry Cycle’.

IRISH TV will be broadcasting part of the ‘Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle’ live when it takes place on Saturday July 4.

The station will air the cycle live on their Sky 191 channel from 2pm-4pm on the day.

This will be the first time that the charity cycle – which is set to have 11,000 people taking part – has been broadcast live on television and will be shown across the UK and Ireland.

Over 32 years the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle has raised over €8 million and last year alone it raised €1.6 million for local Kerry Charities. The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle is a hugely popular one day fundraising event.

“Kerry has one of the largest and most popular fundraising Charity Cycles in the country, which is the result of the many years of hard work and organisation, the wonderful volunteers, all of the charities and everyone who cycles and raises money,” Brian Hurley, Irish TV Munster Regional Manager, said.

The ‘Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle’ Chairperson, Mr. Tim O’Brien thanked everyone.

“We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and we now look forward to making sure that this year’s cycle is the best ever. We would encourage everyone who is registered to go out and fundraise as much as they can for the charities,” he said.
