YOU may have noticed the weather has been particularly bad this summer.

Well, Met Eireann have gone and confirmed it by declaring July “cold, wet and windy everywhere” and the worst in 22 years.

Dull days are recorded as days with less than half an hour of sun.

Valentia though, was one of the driest of the 25 Met Eireann weather stations dotted around the country, recorded the fourth least amount of rain.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann is warning of the ongoing risk of heavy showers across next week.
