THE IT Tralee Events Society held a charity event entitled “Strictly Come Waxing”, last March in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
The society recently presented Irish Cancer Society with a cheque for €1,800, the proceeds from the event which took place in the now closed Fabrik nightclub.
On the night, a host of students got their legs out and waxed for a great cause. Some of the students taking part were Kieran McCarthy, Steve Glacken, Alan Enright, Keith Freeman, Shaun Walsh, Adam Guerin, Beatrice Ayawa Ayavi, Clodagh Roche, and Steven Healy.
Money was raised in an auction style, allowing donations to rise as students tried to outbid each other. Nicola McMahon accepted the cheque on behalf of the Irish Cancer Society.
