Through both of these events Gavan has raised over €20,000 for local Galway charities. His story is an inspiring one; his life hasn’t always been about extreme adventures. As a young person, Gavan suffered badly at the hands of alcohol and drug addiction.

He managed to turn his life around and has stayed clean and sober since ever since. His story is definitely one to be heard.

Jigsaw CEO Dr. Joseph Duffy said; “Having battled through mental health issues in his youth, Gavan has at all times displayed a mental fortitude second to none. Through his commitment to pushing himself physically and mentally through some of the world’s toughest challenges, he is an inspirational role model to all young people in Ireland.”

The event, which is sponsored by Lee Strand Creamery, takes place in the Rose Hotel, Dan Spring Rd,  on October 8, with refreshments at 7pm and the talk beginning at 7.30pm.  Contact Jigsaw Kerry on 066 718 6785 to book a ticket.
