THE live register figure in Tralee dropped in March for the first time since November 2015 and by almost 10% since March 2015 according to the latest figures from the CSO.
The latest figures for March showed there were 5,008 people signing on in the Tralee area, down 179 from last month (5,187).
There were 11,771 signing on countywide with all offices in Kerry reporting a fall in jobless numbers. The largest decrease was in Killarney where the figure fell by 248 in Killarney to 1,960. The latest figures show Kerry’s Live Register has fallen by over 11 per cent in a year.
The Tralee figure is an almost 10% drop on March 2014 when there were 5,534 signing on. During 2015, the figure peaked at 5,713 in August.
