St. Brendan’s League Fixtures 2015
We played Ballymac last Sunday in the Town League. Ballymac started very strong and went 3 points to nil up after 15 minutes. We replied with a well worked Sean Moloney point but Ballymac responded with a goal. We started to get a grip at midfield through Mike Wrenn and Lawrence Bastible and we added three more points from Sean Moloney, two more from Alan O’Donoghue and an excellent Lawrence Bastible point to leave us trailing 1-05 to 0-07 at half time.

Mitchels started strongly in second half and added points through Mike Deane and Alan O’Donoghue before an excellent run from Alan O’Donoghue which set up a goal for Sean Moloney. We then traded points with Ballymac through Oliver Coffey and Alan O’Donoghue and ended up winners on scoreline 1-12 to 1-09.

MINORS

Coiste Tra Li League Fixtures 2015:
St Pats 2-9 John Mitchels 1-12

Certainly a match that could have gone either way. Both defences were on top at the right moments and prevented either team from pulling away. Mitchels saved themselves from the jaws of defeat virtually with Joe Brosnan’s last kick of the game from a very tight angle. St Pats were through on goal on two occasions but they failed to convert either chance. Credit to both teams who served up a very entertaining game to both their supporters and neutrals.

Round 2 – John Mitchels 4-9 Ardfert 1-11
Round 3 – John Mitchels 1-12 St Pats 2-9

However Katelyn O’Sullivan hit the back of the net twice to leave the half time score John Mitchels 3-4; Currow 1-1. The second half was more evenly matched with both sides going score for score.
