TABLE QUIZ:
We held our fundraising Table Quiz in Gallys Bar & Restaurant last Friday night. It commenced at 9.00 p.m. with a fantastic attendance.

Under the guidance of Kieran Moriarty Quizmaster the questions rolled out under various topics. At half time we raffled numerous spot prizes to the delight of the contestants and Gallys provided finger food to all present.

The final result ended up in a tie breaker between two tables with the Belfry table victorious on the night. The team members were Tim Broderick, Rosemary Cronin, Catherine Kerins and Siobhan Corridon who were presented with meal vouchers Presented by Denis Mannix Chairman of the Club which were sponsored by Gallys.

It was a wonderful social night for Club members, non members, friends and neighbours who participated and the Club would like to thank all Sponsors for their generosity.

Finally we would like to thank Kieran Moriarty and Tony Blake who ran the event in a most professional manner and who still provided great entertainment on the night.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – MOUTHGUARDS:
Please notify and advise all team managers both in the Senior and Underage structure of the importance of passing on the below information to their players.

It is vital that ALL players both Underage & Senior wear mouth-guards while playing/training.

U12 LADIES:
We started our County League Div 2 campaign with a long away journey to Rathmore. This was a big task for our very young team and despite a great display Rathmore came out on top. Well done to all who travelled.
We play Desmonds next at home on Tuesday May 23rd followed by Glenflesk on May 30th.

U14 LADIES:
We played Moyvane away last Monday night in our last game in the County League. We made a shaky start to the game but our form came through midway in the first half with goals coming at vital stages. We continued to dominate the remainder of the game and came away with a well earned victory. We have now finished top of Div 5 and will play Kerins O’Rahillys in the Cup final in Ballyseedy. Date tbc. Training continues every Monday and Thursday.

U16 LADIES:
We played Beale/ Ballyduff in the Division 5 Shield final last Thursday evening at sun drenched but windy Mountcoal. A few late changes due to illness meant a number of team changes. Mitchels won the toss and played with the strong wind in the first half. A nervy start to our game until we got our first score on the board and went in at half time leading 3-5 to 0-2. Mitchels now faced into a strong wind in the second half and Beale / Ballyduff came at us from the throw in. Our team gave everything in goals defence midfield and forwards and battled to the end despite severe pressure and waves of attacks we stood tall and never gave up to eventually hear the final whistle and get over the line to win on a score line of 3-9 to 2 -7.
After the game the trophy was presented to Ava Buckley O’Connell by Co Board treasurer Jim White. Well done to all the girls who have given everything this year. We will have a break now from matches until after the Junior Certificate. Training will continue for the North Kerry League and Town Championship over the Summer..
