SENIOR MEN CO LEAGUE –  Round 8:
Away to St Mary’s Saturday July 15th at 7.30 p.m.
ALL SUPPORT APPRECIATED

Round 9:    Home to  Templenoe             (July 23rd)
Round 10:  Away to Dingle                       (Aug 13th)
Round 11:  Home to Miltown/Castlemaine (Aug 27th or Sept 24th)

JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE – Round 5 St Pats v John Mitchels
We had another good win away to St Pats in Round 5 of the Co League on Friday night winning on a final score of 4-15 to 2-12.
We dominated the opening half and goals from Mikey Walsh, Brian Costello (2) and Ciaran Kileen saw us in a commanding lead at half time. St Pats rallied in the 2nd half but we ran out deserving winners on the night.

We have now qualified directly for the Final of the Co League which is currently scheduled for Friday 28th July .

Summer Camp
John Mitchels Official  Summer camp 17th to 22nd July 2017 – 9.30 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. Fee is €50. Fun and Games for all for Boys and Girls between 5 – 12 year olds.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to experience the excitement of a Summer Camp, meet new friends and have great fun. Among the activities that will be experienced will be – Football, Arts & Crafts, Obstacle Course, Treasure Hunt and many more.

John Mitchels Blitz
On Saturday July 22nd John Mitchels are holding their Annual Tournament for the U8 & U10 age groups. The games run from 10.00 a.m. until 2.30p.m. with each  team getting 5 games. All games are 11 aside.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – MOUTHGUARDS:
Please notify and advise all team managers both in the Senior and Underage structure of the importance of passing on the below information to their players.
It is vital that ALL players both Underage & Senior wear mouth-guards while playing/training.
If no mouth-guard worn and a player receives a dental injury then the Player Injury Scheme Claim will be declined.

U14 BOYS:
Our under 14 team took on Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane at home in Round 3 of the Central League last Monday .
This was a must win for us after a defeat and a draw in the first 2 rounds and despite missing a few regulars we squeezed home by the narrowest of margins 4-9 to 5-5.
Best on the night were Tiny Callaghan, Dan Fisher, Darragh Caplis, Conor Kerins and Cormac Clifford.
We travel to Gallarus next Monday evening for Round 4 of the Central League.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to Sean Broderick and Darragh Caplis who made the Kerry North under 14 panel that travelled to Waterford for the Under 14 tournament this weekend.
Well done boys on a fantastic achievement.

U14 LADIES:
The County League is now finished and we will train for North Kerry League, U13 and U 15 County Championships and Town League and U 13 Sandra Keane Blitz. Training continues every Monday and Thursday. Teamers will be sent
out.

U16 LADIES:
Training will continue every Monday and Thursday  for the North Kerry League, Town Championship and U 15 Championship which will take place over the Summer. Teamers will be sent out.

CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our Cailiní Óga on their appearance in the primary school game at the halftime Munster Ladies Final between Kerry and Waterford in Mallow yesterday. It was a great opportunity for the girls to display their footballing skills in front of a large attendance. Many thanks to Edward Duggan and Tony O’Shea for looking after the girls so well.

U6s:
Training will continue as normal next Sunday July 16th 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

U8s – GIRLS:
Training  will continue as normal next Sunday July 16th 10.45 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

U8s – BOYS:
Well it was John Mitchels turn to host Tralee Town U8 GO GAMES on Thursday last where we had 2 teams playing 3  x 15 min gamees. All teams gave a great display of football skills & great to see all the training paying off.  John Mitchels U8 boys training continues this Sunday 10.30am to 12.00pm session starts at 10.40 sharp GUM SHIELDS ESSENTIAL THANKS.

U10 Boys:
Another great turnout for training on Sunday. Luke, Nathan, Cody, Mark and Gearoid put in a great training session and worked very hard. Fionnan, Oisin, Rudhrai, Joey and  Gerard improved their skills all the way through. Conor, Karl, Adam, Killian and Enda gave a  great account of themselves in the game and were very influential. Brogan, Robert, Will, Darragh and Nedal caught great ball and made inch perfect passes. Well done to all the players and we may have a game next weekend, watch out for texts.

SPRING CLEANOUT – CLOTHES FUNDRAISER:
John Mitchels are commencing their Clothes Collection  again for 2017 so please donate any unwanted Clothes and Textiles (clean re-wearable clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, bed linen, soft toys are accepted)  Where possible please donate at least 3+ bags – this really does raise much needed funds for our Club. Please drop items to the the Complex, Ballyseedy.

Our Bingo continues on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Bingo is a vital fundraiser for the Club and all funds raised from the Bingo goes directly back into the Club and all support is greatly appreciated.
Any member who wishes to volunteer can do so by giving their details to any club officer.

JOHN MITCHELS SPORTS COMPLEX:
Our Sports Complex at Camp Ballyseedy is available for bookings on the Sports Hall and All Weather pitch. The Complex is also open for children’s parties.  Further information contact the Club reception on

MERCHANDISE:
Please note that all club merchandise is now available for purchasing only through Henneberys Sports Shop, Ashe St, Tralee and is no longer for sale at our complex in Ballyseedy.
Please also note that our Club colours are  – Green and Gold Jerseys, White togs and Green and Gold socks.
