U8s:
John Mitchels U8 boys and girls had 2 challenge games on Sunday last against Ardfert. Both started very cautious but after about 5 minutes that all changed with both teams now playing some great skills. Our thanks to Ardfert for coming in to us & we look forward to a return visit. In other news it’s our turn to host the U8 Go Games this Wednesday all players to meet at Mitchels at 6.15pm sharp with games to start 6.30pm sharp hope to see everyone there.

U 10s:
We played in the Go Games on Wednesday at our own pitch and it was a very good experience with great play from all our players with tremendous skill on show from everyone. On Sunday we played in the Milltown blitz and it was a great day. We brought 19 players and everyone played in at least 4 games with almost everyone playing in the five games and everyone played their heart out and gave it full effort. In the first game we played Abbeyfeale and had a hard fought win. The second game was toughest game and it was against Listry 1, it was nip and tuck all the way and all our players played their part but we came up just short by one point. Our last game in the group was against Milltown Castlemaine and with great we won with some superb skill. Into the Shield Semi-final and we were playing Keel, we won with ease and everyone played well and as a team. Now for the final, with against Listry 2. With only two points in the first half things were looking tough bur in the second half we kicked into gear and played some great football. Well done, Shield winners and the team had a great time, the only team to beat us won the cup final, so next year we have to go one step further.  Well done again to all after a long day and we will see you next Sunday, bring the money for the tickets as we will be collecting them then. Thanks to Milltown for hosting the blitz and to all the parents who showed up to support.
