Charity Walk/Run:
We had a very successful walk/run in memory of Robert O’Dowd Friday evening last which started and finished at the Aquadome, Tralee. Over 650 people attended the event and over €10,000 was raised for the Palliative Care Unit. Many thanks to all the volunteers, stewards and Sponsors which made it a resounding success.

Night at the Dogs Fundraiser for Juveniles – Friday August 10th
Lip Sing – Sunday October 28th

Senior ladies training Wednesday’s at 8pm and Friday’s at 7pm. If anyone would like to give it a go please contact Tanya on 0876258737. New members always welcome.

U16 & U14 LADIES:
U14 and U16 ladies will start their North Kerry League shortly with fixtures on North Kerry Ladies Football webpage.
Training continues  on Thursdays at 6.30 p.m.

This week saw John Mitchels U8 & U10 boys and girls travel to Milltown for some challenge games. It’s great to see all training paying off for our juveniles there was some great defending and scoring from both sides. Our thanks to Milltown/Castlemaine for having us and Ian Twiss & his team for having everything organised. We look forward to seeing ye in the next few weeks. Our coaches are planning a very busy schedule of games over the next few weeks so stay tuned for updates.

John Mitchels are commencing their Clothes Collection again for 2018 so please donate any unwanted Clothes and Textiles (clean re-wearable clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, bed linen, soft toys are accepted) Where possible please donate at least 3+ bags – this really does raise much needed funds for our Club. Please drop items to the the Complex, Ballyseedy.

Our Bingo continues on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Bingo is a vital fundraiser for the Club and all funds raised from the Bingo goes directly back into the Club and all support is greatly appreciated. Any member who wishes to volunteer can do so by giving their details to any club officer.

Our Sports Complex at Camp Ballyseedy is available for bookings on the Sports Hall and All Weather pitch. The Complex is also open for children’s parties. Further information contact the Club reception on 066 7197070.

Please note that all club merchandise is now available for purchasing only through Henneberys Sports Shop, Ashe St, Tralee and is no longer for sale at our complex in Ballyseedy. Please also note that our Club colours are – Green and Gold Jerseys, White togs and Green and Gold socks.

Sad  to also read of the passing of Helen Healy (nee Murphy) formerly of Castle St. Tralee & Healy’s Dairy. Helen was the wife of the late Philo Healy a former Mitchels player and who was  Captain of the Minor  Team that won the 1958 Minor County Championship.
