Just before the stroke of half time Mitchels kicked a high ball into the square and Niall Sheehy flicked the ball into the back of the net, leaving the half-time score 2-04 to 0-3.

Listowel started well at the beginning of the second half and scored 2 points in quick succession. After that Mitchels completely took over at Mid-field and totally dominated the game.
