County League – Round 5:

We played Listowel Emmets at home last Sunday in the 5th Round of the County League.

We settled and scored points from Mike Deane, Alan O’Donoghue and Sean Moloney to lead 3 Pts to 1. Listowel added 2 further points followed by an Alan O’Donoghue goal. Just before the stroke of half time Mitchels kicked a high ball into the square and Niall Sheehy flicked the ball into the back of the net, leaving the half-time score 2-04 to 0-3.

Listowel started well at the beginning of the second half and scored 2 points in quick succession. After that Mitchels completely took over at Mid-field and totally dominated the game.

We played Na Gael on Sunday last and there were great matches. Sean, Daithi, Darragh and Jack all played very well and made some great tackles.

Brian, Kuba, Paddy and Joe worked hard all through the games and showed great skill in passing and use of the ball. Andrew, Ted, Cian and Ben showed that their training and hard work in training is paying off with the way they played.

Rory, Sean Og and everyone else took some great scores and as a team everyone played well together and put on an impressive performance. Well done everyone!
