Our U16 Ladies played Beale Ballyduff in the North Kerry League last Wednesday evening in Ballyseedy. We lead at half time playing with the aid of a strong breeze by 1-5 to 1-4. Facing into the wind for the second half our girls pulled it out of the fire with a top class performance and never say die approach with wonderful scores defending and goalkeeping. With darkness falling we came out on top 3-7 to 2-5. We now have to play Duagh in the last round next Sunday Oct 7th away.  Well done to all.

Just a quick reminder that John Mitchels U8 boys and girls will be taking part in the annual Siobhan Cotter Blitz being held in Churchill GAA grounds in the Spa next Sunday morning 7th of October. We would ask parents to make sure each child has water and snack for in between games, rain gear & most important gumshields. A text will be sent out during the week to remind everyone, until then kids keep on practicing.

We had another great session on Sunday with all the skills on show from the boys and girls kicking, passing and tackling was of the highest order. The game at the end was really competitive and shows us that we are ready for all the Blitzes that are coming up. On Sunday 7th October we are playing in the Churchill Blitz and we need all our players present as we are entering two teams, make sure to bring your gum shields. Watch out for the text  to let you know what time it starts.
