UNDER 6 BOYS & GIRLS

Our U6 boys and girls continue training every Sunday from 11 to 12 and they are all making fantastic progress. Among those to impress today were Conor, David, Luke, Cian, Ava, Nancy and Emily. Finally, a big thank you to Declan Quill and his team from Kerins O Rahilly who looked after us so well last Sunday week.

UNDER 8 BOYS

John Mitchel’s U8 Boy’s training continues every Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12.00pm

All newcomers welcome!!

U10 BOYS

We had a good training session on Sunday where we worked on skills and speed. All the lads put in a good session and with all the games in the last few weeks we needed to work on some of the finer skills. We should have Go Games next week in Na Gael and we are looking forward to it. Keep an eye out for the text for the times etc.

LADIES

SENIOR LADIES:

We play Abbeydorney Away in the next round of the county league on Sunday 23rd June. Training continues on Thursdays at 7pm.  We have a back County League game to play V Beale/Ballyduff time and date TBC.

U 16 Ladies.

We have a break now until after the Junior Cert. Good luck to all taking exams. We will be playing North Kerry League in August. Training continues on Thursdays at 7pm New players welcome.

JUNIOR COUNTY LEAGUE

Our Junior Div. 5 B team next game is home to Rathmore B on Saturday June 8th, time TBC.

SENIORS

Our next game is away to Ballymacelligott on June 9th @ 2.00PM. Followed by Desmonds at Home on w/e June 16th, away to Brosna on w/e June 30th.

JOHN MITCHEL’S SUMMER CAMP

Our annual summer camp will take place Monday 15th July until Friday 19th July, more details to follow.

SPLIT THE BUCKET

A new fund-raising initiative, known as ‘Split the Bucket’ has begun on Sunday Mornings at Juvenile training. You quite simply put €2 in an envelope with your name and phone number and place in the bucket. The winner gets 50% of the total collected, with the other 50% going to the Clubs juvenile development fund. Congratulations to Pascal Buckley who won this week draw at Juvenile Training.

Oliver Coffey has now taken over the running of the Gym at John Mitchel’s Sports Complex. For more details regarding facilities, membership options, and fitness programs to suit all, contact Oliver on 086 1939534.

CLOTHES COLLECTION:

We have joined up with St Vincent De Paul to rise much needed funds for both John Mitchel’s and SVP. By donating your second-hand clothes and unwanted items, not only will you be freeing up space in your home, you will also be making a difference to people in need, in your community.

We now have an SVP clothes bank in our car park at our state-of-the-art sports facility in Ballyseedy.

NEW WALKWAY

A fantastic new facility has now been added at our grounds in Ballyseedy.
A new walkway/jogging path approx. 1km long has been laid, complete with bollard level lighting.
Come and enjoy a fabulous experience in a safe and healthy environment.
This community facility is open to all and is free for a limited opening period. A reasonable membership fee may apply at a later date.
THIS IS A SMOKE-FREE ZONE
A STRICT NO DOGS – NO CYCLING OR NO STUDDED FOOTBALL BOOTS rule applies to the walkways.

BINGO:

Our bingo continues on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights @ 8.30pm in our premises on the John Joe Sheehy Road. Bingo is a vital fundraiser for the club and all funds raised from the bingo goes directly back into the club and all support is greatly appreciated. Any member who wishes to volunteer can do so by giving their details to any club officer.

JOHN MITCHEL’S SPORTS COMPLEX:

Our sports complex at Camp Ballyseedy is available for bookings on the Sports Hall and All-Weather pitch. The complex is also open for children’s parties. For further information contact the club reception on 066 7197070.

MERCHANDISE:

Please note that all club merchandise is now available for purchasing only through Hennebery’s sports shop, Ashe St. Tralee and is no longer for sale at our complex in Ballyseedy. Please also note that our club colours are – green and gold jerseys, white togs and green and gold socks.
