LADIES
We played Abbeydorney Away in the county league on Sunday 23rd June. This was played in somewhat damp conditions and each score was hard fought for by both teams

Mitchel’s played with the slight wind in the first half and contested ball for ball with Abbeydorney. We trailed at half time by 5 points.

The second half was gaining a tight affair and despite our best efforts we could not get that important goal and finally lost out by 0-10 to 2-8.

Well done to all and great to have Diana and Grace back from injury.

Our game v Clounmacon/Moyvane this weekend was postponed and we await new date

We are down to play Beale /Ballyduff Away in the county league on Sun July 7th

JUNIOR COUNTY LEAGUE RD 6.

Our Juniors played Asdee at home last Sunday in RD 7 of the county league it was a very exciting game from start to finish, Mitchel’s were level at half time 1-03 to 1-3 and despite our best efforts

We Were unable to breakdown Asdee with Final Score Mitchel’s 2-7 Asdee 1-11 Next game in

Rd 8 (A) to Cromane on w/e July 14th.

SENIORS

We played Brosna away   last Saturday evening in a crucial Round 7 game of the senior co lge Div. 2 in ideal conditions. Mitchel’s took an early lead in the game through Niall Sheehy but Desmonds slowly ground our way into the match

Leaving half time score Brosna 0- 3 Mitchel’s 0-6. Second half was nip and tuck with sides level on 7 points each after 36 mins, Mitchel’s then pushed on and lead for the rest of the second half to finish up winners by 6 points

Final Score Brosna 0-8 Mitchel’s 1-11. This was a brilliant win considering our injury list and fair play to all last night on winning 2 very valuable points in our push for promotion. The focus now is on our next game.
