UNDER 6 BOYS AND GIRLS

Our U6s train every Sunday 11am. last Sunday they had a great session and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Each boy and girl made a huge effort and gave it their all. The obstacle course race was a particular success and those who stood out include Ben, Luke, Brian, Connor, Kacper, Ethan, Ava, Siun and Grace. Keep up the good work and see you all next Sunday

UNDER 8 BOYS

John Mitchel’s U8 Boys had another great training session this Sunday with plenty of running & movement drills for fitness & quickly followed by Ball work & games.

Our first year U8s are out in Currans Centre of Excellence this Monday evening for some challenge games, all players to meet out there at 6.30pm sharp Gum Shields & Water essential.

Juvenile training takes place in John Mitchel’s every Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12.00pm

UNDER 8 & U/10 GIRLS

Sunday saw the John Mitchel’s u-8 and u-10 girls take to the field in Ballyseedy for training and as usual there was plenty of effort shown by all those who attended. After some early warm-up drills, the girls spent the rest of the training session taking part in a backs and forwards game, playing in a tight area to improve passing skills.

LADIES

Training for Senior Ladies continues on Mondays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.

U 16 LADIES.

We will be playing North Kerry League in August.

SPLIT THE BUCKET

A new fund-raising initiative, known as ‘Split the Bucket’ has begun on Sunday Mornings at Juvenile training. You quite simply put €2 in an envelope with your name and phone number and place in the bucket. The winner gets 50% of the total collected, with the other 50% going to the Clubs juvenile development fund.

Oliver Coffey has now taken over the running of the Gym at John Mitchel’s Sports Complex. For more details regarding facilities, membership options, and fitness programs to suit all, contact Oliver on 086 1939534.

SUMMER CAMP

We had another fantastic summer camp again this year with huge numbers attending.

Plenty of entertainment provided   with Arts/ Crafts, Irish music and dancing, games with plenty of fun had by everyone topped of with a good helping of ice cream and treats on the final day. Great gaisce from all who helped out on the week, our volunteers were superb. A special thanks to all the boys and girls who attended what was a magical week. Thanks to the parents who support the official Mitchel’s summer camp each year and make it a feature event on the club calendar

CLOTHES COLLECTION:

We have joined up with St Vincent De Paul to rise much needed funds for both John Mitchel’s and SVP. By donating your second-hand clothes and unwanted items, not only will you be freeing up space in your home, you will also be making a difference to people in need, in your community.

We now have an SVP clothes bank in our car park at our state-of-the-art sports facility in Ballyseedy.

BINGO:

Our bingo continues on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights @ 8.30pm in our premises on the John Joe Sheehy Road. Bingo is a vital fundraiser for the club and all funds raised from the bingo goes directly back into the club and all support is greatly appreciated. Any member who wishes to volunteer can do so by giving their details to any club officer.

JOHN MITCHEL’S SPORTS COMPLEX:

Our sports complex at Camp Ballyseedy is available for bookings on the Sports Hall and All-Weather pitch. The complex is also open for children’s parties. For further information contact the club reception on 066 7197070.

MERCHANDISE:

Please note that all club merchandise is now available for purchasing only through Hennebery’s sports shop, Ashe St. Tralee and is no longer for sale at our complex in Ballyseedy. Please also note that our club colours are – green and gold jerseys, white togs and green and gold socks.
