John Mitchel’s U8 boys took on castleisland on Sunday morning last for some challenge games, & even after a 2-week break there was no signs of any rustiness with both sides displaying some great skills with great defending & scoring.

In other news John Mitchel’s U8 & U10 Boy’s will be training this Wednesday September 11th and the following Wednesday September 18th from 6.30pm to 7.30pm hope to see you all there thank you.

UNDER 8 & UNDER 10 GIRLS

After a break of a few weeks due to the Rose of Tralee Festival and All-Ireland Football Final, training resumed for the John Mitchel’s u8/10 Girls in Ballyseedy on Sunday.
There was a good turnout and the girls were anxious to get stuck in once more. Under the watchful eye of coach Caroline, they went through a thorough warm-up before they all took part in some speed drills, working on their hand passing and pick-ups.

This was followed by a match, and it was great to see that the girls had lost none of their passion during the break.

Jenny, Courtney, Gia and Nadia took turns in goals, while at midfield, Millie, Emily, Ciara and Ella all worked hard throughout and covered lots of ground. Defensively, Grace, Maddison and Ava were in inspired form, while in attack, Ella, Nicole, Sophie and Hannah kicked some lovely scores.

There will be extra training on this Wednesday, 11th September at Ballyseedy from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Don’t forget gumshields and water. No training next weekend due to the All-Ireland replay.
