UNDER 6 BOYS & GIRLS
Our under6 boys and girls had a great day last Sunday. There was a huge turnout and they were all very eager to train. They went through their paces under the watchful eye of their trainers and they are all improving each week. Keep up the practising at home and see you all next Sunday
UNDER 8 BOYS
John Mitchel’s U8 Boy’s welcomed Milltown/Castlemaine on Sunday last for some challenge games. It was an early start & our lads were a bit sleepy but it wasn’t long before they started getting to grips with the game. Both sides played some great football with some great scores from both sides.
Our thanks to Milltown/Castlemaine & we look forward to a return visit in the future.
As usual folks training continues this Thursday 5.30pm to 6.30pm until then keep on practicing!!
UNDER 10 BOYS
We welcomed Miltown/ Castlemaine to Ballyseedy last Sunday morning for a challenge game. Despite missing a few regulars & a slow start the lads got into their stride after a while. The Miltown lads were well able to pass the ball around & take their scores but our lads gave as good as they got with some fine scores of their own. Many thanks to Miltown/ Castlemaine for a great morning of football & all the best in their future games. We have training next Thursday from 5.30 pm to 7pm & we play Firies next Sunday morning, details to be decided during the week.
UNDER 8 & 10 GIRLS
After a successful outing the previous weekend against Ballymacelligott, it was back to training for the girls u8/10s in Ballyseedy on Sunday. A quick debrief of the game took place and a few areas of improvement were outlined with training tailored to work on these.
Darragh took the girls for a quick warm up and after some handpassing drills it was quickly into tackling drills, with Aisling, Ava, Hannah, Emma and Leila standing out.
The remainder of the session was taken up by a game and the emphasis was on long kicking, with Aideen, Saoirse, Aeibhin, Jenny and Roisin working hard, with some fierce competition from Clodagh, Noelle, Karolina and Alannah.
Training continues next Sunday in Ballyseedy at 10.30am. All welcome
