Christmas Market

We had a quieter turnout for our second and last Market of the year which took place on Sunday 19th December.

The atmosphere was buzzing as people were in the Christmas spirit and only glad for markets to go ahead again due to covid.

We had over 40 Stalls on the second week of the market. All covid guidelines were followed and everyone sanitized and wore a mask throughout. Food was provided by Gallys who had lovely soup, sandwiches and desserts for sale to keep us all fed.

Thanks to Grace Keirns Abigail O Shea and Martha Kilgallen who kept our shop going so people could get tea/ coffee and minerals throughout the day. A huge thanks to Bubbles Rory and Thomas who helped get everyone set up carrying tables and stock when needed.

Thanks to Dennis Fitzgerald for doing the carpark and Dennis Mannix, Dan O Connor and Mark McEvoy for helping with the clear up.

There were great spot prizes on offer also. First prize was won by Joe O Sullivan who went home with a hamper from Der O Sullivans, second prize was won by James Teehan who won a 50-euro voucher kindly donated by Celsius third prize was won by Margaret Goodall who went home with a thirty-euro Ryalls voucher and fourth prize was two bottles of wine won by Caroline O Sullivan.

We also had a draw for the stall holders to show our appreciation and the winner was Blasta Delights who went home with a fifty-euro voucher kindly donated by Gallys bar and restaurant.  We cannot wait to go ahead with our markets again next year and hopefully our Santa cave also.

We would like to thank all stall holders who took part in the two markets and all customers who came along for the visit. We hope everyone has a safe a prosperous Christmas and a happier new year. We welcome you all again in 2022.
