Pizza, chips, cake and Taytos were the order of the day as the end of season party took place this evening for our u14 girls.

They received their North Kerry winner’s medals from Kerry Senior and our own Anna Stack, what a brilliant year it has been for our girls, we lost two finals and won one, so this evening was a celebration of all the hard work and dedication shown by them throughout the year.

UNDER 13 BOYS

The U13 B took on local rivals Na Gaeil on Sunday afternoon in the Town League Division 3 Final in Ballyseedy.

The wet conditions were very challenging for both teams, with John Mitchels playing into a strong breeze in the first half.

Despite the conditions, both teams played some great football and traded scores to finish the first half level on three points apiece.

Taking advantage of playing with the wind in the second half, the Mitchels boys went into the lead by scoring 1-1 before their opponents registered their first point of the second half.

Given the conditions scoring opportunities were not easy to come by. But the Mitchels team dug deep and added a further 1-3 to Na Gaeil’s 1-2, to finish victorious on a final score line of 2-7 to 1-6.

This was this team’s third final and third victory this year; having already won their County League and Central League finals. It was an amazing achievement by a very dedicated and talented team of young footballers.

Their commitment throughout the year has been exemplary and they are a credit to the John Mitchels club and their families.
