St. Brendan’s League Fixtures 2015
On a very cold Friday night last, the team played St. Pats in the opening round of the League. Although both sides were short a few regulars, this was a well matched contest with both sides kicking score for score. The half time score read John Mitchels 0-9; St. Pat’s 1-6. Mitchels took an early lead in the second half going two points ahead, Pats responded kicking five without reply, however Mitchels dug deep and score the final three points to leave the scores level at 1-14 a-piece at the full time whistle.

Coffee/Tea Club
The Sunday morning home baking ,tea and coffee shop will open on Sunday Feb 8th to co-inside with the beginning of the Juvenile training. Ann O’Donoghue is looking for volunteers to join her rota to help with serving the teas coffee and home baking. There is no obligation to do any baking although it is very much appreciated so anyone interested in helping out can please contact Ann on 0872277137. This is a great opportunity for all parents to meet up and have a chat and cuppa. All monies collected will go directly back to develop and support the Juvenile teams in the Club and your support is very much appreciated.
Under-16 BOYS
Under 16 boys are training Mondays at 7pm and Thursday at 6.30pm
U-14 BOYS
Under 14 training resumes on Monday February 2nd . Players are requested to meet at 5.45 pm for a short meeting in advance of training on Astro from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
Training will continue on Mondays and Thursdays from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm for the moment.
Please note that Gum shields to be worn for training.
U-12 BOYS
Training begins on Monday 9th February and will train Mon and Wed at 6-7 on the all weather pitch
U-10 BOYS
Training begins on Sunday 8th February from 10.0am to 11.00am in the Astro turf pitch.
U-8 & U-10 GIRLS
Indoor training begins on Sunday 8th February from 10.00 am to 11.00 am in the John Mitchels Sports Hall.

MEMBERSHIP
Membership of John Mitchels for 2015 is now open.
2015 membership fees are as follows:
Patron membership €150 ( this includes adult membership, entry to the weekly lotto and free admission to all County League games which can be paid by direct debit),
Adult membership €40,
Students/O.A.P €20,
Juvenile boys and girls €20.
Membership forms are available at the reception at the club complex. Alternatively, the club Registrar will be available to collect membership fees in the clubhouse (John Joe Sheehy road on Tuesday’s from 8.30pm to 9.15pm.
There will be separate juvenile registration days in the coming weeks, details of which will be announced in the next few weeks.
REFEREE’S COURSES
A four-night Foundation Level Course for all new Referees will be held in Austin Stack Park Tralee on Mon 9 Feb, Wed 11 Feb, Mon 16 Feb, Wed 18 Feb which will commence at 7.30 pm sharp. On behalf of the Bingo Committee and Patrons, our deepest sympathy to Sandra Byrne, one of our loyal Bingo Volunteers on the recent death of her dear mother Ursula Kenny, Dublin.
Our Bingo continues on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Bingo is a vital fundraiser for the Club and all funds raised from the Bingo goes directly back into the Club and all support is greatly appreciated.
