THE John Mitchels Club will host a novel Drive-In Bingo event next Sunday at their grounds in Camp, Ballyseedy.

Chairman of the club Denis Mannix said times are tough for all GAA clubs and it was necessary for them to do something to bring money into the club, with the proceeds from this particular event going towards the juvenile section.

“We’ve had no real revenue here at the complex since last March. The gym and hall has been closed since March and all birthday party bookings were cancelled. It costs us €200,000 a year to run the building and service the loan, so it’s necessary to fundraise so that we can have this facility,” he said.

Taking place at 2.30pm, the cars will drive into the pitch and club stewards will direct them into position. The participants will stay in their cars and must wear a mask.

There is over €4,400 in prizes with a guaranteed jackpot of €750. If you haven’t got a car, they can cater for 50 people on a ‘first come’ basis. Honk your horn or flash your lights, plenty of car space available. No coins, notes only. Check out the flyer below for more details.
