John Waters will be speaking on the night.
THERE will be an information night for the ‘No’ vote campaign in the forthcoming referendum, held in the Fels Point Hotel this Thursday May 14.
The night, which will start at 8pm, will be hosted by the leading Kerry group campaigning for a ‘No’ vote, ‘Mothers and Fathers Matter Kerry’, and will feature a number of speakers including;
• John Waters, Journalist and Single-Father, representing First Families First.
• Paddy Manning, a gay man and advocate for a No Vote.
• From the UK, Elizabeth Howard, a mother of five, giving her personal testimony of being donor-conceived.
“We will hear three people who have each been personally affected by the issues of the referendum. They will speak from the heart, telling their stories simply and passionately, and will also outline their opposition to same-sex marriage based on a genuine concern for the harmful effects this proposal would have on countless others,” said Mary Fitzgibbon, spokesperson for the group.
