John Dedicates New Album To His Late Son Adam

WELL-KNOWN local singer/songwriter, John Buggy, is releasing his second album next week, which he has dedicated to the memory of his late son, Adam.

The ‘Long Journey Home’ is John’s second full-length and will be launched in Benner’s Hotel on Friday, February 5 at 9pm in The Courtyard Bar.

The launch will feature a number of Tralee’s finest musicians, such as Brendan Williams, Nick Moloney, Shane Murphy, Damian Greer, Mike Leahy, MossC Shea, John Moriarty, Jonny Gornall and many more. ‘Chapter 2’ will be opening the show.

“The album has been 11 years in the making and it’s dedicated to my son Adam who we sadly lost six years ago,” said John. Adam died in a road accident in Cork city back in 2o10 at the age of 22.

“The album features a song called Memory Of You (Adam’s Song) which I wrote for him. It also includes, ‘Tell me what’s on your mind’ which made the final of the Christie Hennessy song contest two years ago and ‘Refugee’, the first video from the album which has received a lot of interest on YouTube,” said John.
