KERRY GAA legend Pat Spillane is all set again for the ‘Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk’ this July.

This will be the tenth anniversary of the walk and so to celebrate this, the event will have an added element.

There will be a nine-day team walk that will cover the entire 200km of the Kerry Way, with the usual option of the three-day 70km along the walk also being available to people.

Walkers will be joined along the route by renowned adventurer Pat Falvey and former Kerry footballer turned sports pundit, Pat Spillane, as they traverse over peaks, through woodlands and along the lakes of the trails, all in the name of the fight against cancer.

“There are still too many people, family and friends who are affected by cancer,” said Pat Spillane.  “The research this walk supports is the kind of cutting edge research that will change that.  Having heard about the work happening at Breakthrough Cancer Research, I am delighted to join these trails and raise vital funds for their work.  It promises to be a great weekend incorporating stunning but challenging routes of the Kerry Way and I’m inviting you all to come and Challenge Yourself and Challenge Cancer in the stunning surrounds of one of the most glorious places on earth, the Kingdom ,” said the former footballer.

If you would like to get involved with the walk, you can find out more information on the website here or contact 1890 998 998.
