JRI America In Tralee Welcomes 21 New Staff Members

JRI America welcomed 21 new members to their team in Tralee last Thursday.

The new team members will be working in specialist technical areas.  The company’s 2020 Intern Programme also kicked off with a large number of students beginning their placements.

This continued expansion means since their establishment in the Kerry Technology Park in 2011, JRI America have become one of Kerry’s largest technology employers.

The New York headquartered company is delivering on their job announcement made in May 2019.  JRI-America (JRI-A) provides IT services for Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (“SMFG”).

Alongside the existing 150 employees, the new team members have joined a variety of technical disciplines across infrastructure, security, application support, software development and software quality assurance.

Michael O’Dea (Managing Director & General Manager, JRI America Inc.) who is visiting Tralee this week said: “further to the commitment we made last May to hire across all areas, we have now delivered the first phase of our expansion. We are delighted to welcome such engaged and high-quality talent to our expanding team”

In addition to new full-time hires, a large number of interns from Munster colleges also began their placements.

Shane Walsh who leads the Tralee operation said: “We have a close working relationship with a number of colleges. In particular, our continued strong partnership with Institute of Technology Tralee continues to bear fruit. We have attracted top class students who have been offered an opportunity to work in a multi-national technology company on their doorstep.”
