A LOCAL business in Tralee raised an amazing €11,705 for two cancer charities by staff taking part in a ‘Shave Or Dye’ challenge on Good Friday.

Kellihers Crash Repair at Rathass in Tralee raised the  much needed funds for Recovery Haven and Comfort for Chemo Kerry who collected their cheques at Kellihers on Friday.

“We were delighted with the success of our recent ‘Shave Or Dye’ event, which also had some leg waxing thrown in,” said Yvonne McMahon from Kellihers Garage.

“It was the brainchild of Mikey Greaney from Kellihers Crash Repairs to raise the funds for the worthy charities. Everyone in the garage got behind the event, it was a huge staff effort and we’re very proud to have raised so much money,” she said.

“We’d like to thank everyone who contributed to make the fundraiser such a success. The staff did the waxing and the shaving themselves, all in line with public health guidelines,” added Yvonne.

Both Comfort For Chemo Kerry and Recovery Haven expressed their gratitude to Kellihers Garage and everyone who donated to the fundraiser.
