Senior Division 6A County League Fixture
Sunday June 5th @ 2pm
Kerins O Rahillys B v Gneeveguilla B

NÓTAÍ NA mBAN
Behind the scenes our Lidl’s ‘One Good Club’ committee are working hard to embrace this wonderful programme to bring fun and positivity to our club members and community of all ages.
The five step programme was developed using the ‘ 5 a day for your Mental Health,’ a framework made up of simple actions aimed at boosting your mental health and well-being.

Last Thursday we held a bake sale. Our U12s baked and donated a whopping €200 to Animal Help Kerry. Wendy O’ Connor was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of our young ladies and also watched their game v Corca Dhuibhne.

On bank holiday Monday we will have a Family Fun Day for our club and community, check out our social media for more details during the week.

GAELIC4GIRLS
We decided to take a break last Saturday because of the double header in Fitzgerald Stadium. Instead we are going to have fun,  games and a bite to eat this Thursday . Looking forward to seeing everyone at 5.30p.m.

U12 GIRLS
We are so proud of these girls and their kindness. Not only do we have wonderful footballers but we also have great bakers.
We raised €200 for Animal Help Kerry with our bake sale… this will be put toward feeding many homeless animals or toward necessary surgery. Well done to everyone who donated and supported.

STRAND ROAD BLUES TEAM
We had a BYE in round 3 . This week we host Laune Rangers in Ballyrickard pitch. Throw in will be at 7p.m. on Tuesday, May 31st.
Best of luck to everyone!

KERINS O’ RAHILLY TEAM
This game was always going to be a tight affair we thought…we were the first to put the ball over the bar and played very well in the first half.
Corca Dhuibhne started the second half as they intended to finish …winners. We pressed their defence but were  tired as many of our girls had played the night before and have had a lot of football at school also.
Unfortunately it was the team from back West who proved stronger in the finish.
Final score:
Kerins O’ Rahilly 4-02
Corca Dhuibhne 5-03
It was great to see so many supporters as always at the game.

In round 4 we are away to Churchill . Throw in will be at 6.30p.m. in the Spa pitch on Wednesday, June 1st.
Best of luck to everyone!

Juvenile Notes:
Our academy continued last Sunday with the sun shining high in the sky and smiles of the pitches shining even brighter. Most age groups trained as normal kicking off at 10am in Ballyrickard while the others had games in different locations.

U5s, U6s and U7s enjoyed their training sessions  having great fun with their coaches and developing their skills along the way.  Every player showed how much they have learned over the past few months from their fantastic coaches and enjoyed their session.

U8 Girls:
Our U8 Girls had their first Go Games against Stacks in Connolly park last Sunday morning. They had A very competitive match against Stacks. All the hard work on their skills at training was on display and they were very impressive. Every girl got to play and show their skills to all those who were watching. Everyone was very impressed by the girls skill set and the team work they showed throughout the game. Thank you to Stacks for an enjoyable game and having us up to play with them. We look forward to them coming to play us at home in Ballyrickard soon. A great day was had by all.

U9 Boys
U9 Boys had a great session with their coaches. They worked on their kicking and tackling skills and Finished with small sided games which everyone enjoyed.

U10 Girls
What a fantastic first game our U10 girls had today. Every girl showed their true ability throughout the game. From our mid field winning possession and feeding it into our forwards, to our backs turning the ball over when the opposition were on the attack to our forwards getting through the defence and clocking up the scores and not forgetting our amazing goalie saving on target goal opportunities and her fantastic kick outs.  The girls showed that all their training is paying off and how much their skills have come along. They showed fantastic team work working the ball up and down the pitch and supporting each other all the time. Their coaches and parents were very proud of all of them. Thank you to Stacks for hosting us and for a competitive game.  We look forward to playing Ye again soon.

U13 Boys
Our U13 boys played Tarbert in Ballyrickard last Sunday afternoon. Every player showed great determination and ability throughout the game. The boys never gave up and played their hearts out but Tarbert has a very strong team and clocked up the scores with a score line of 1-8 to 5-14. Well done to Tarbert on their win and we look forward to playing you again in the future.

U17 Boys
Progress, progress progress. Kerins O’Rahillys/ St. Pats made it 2 wins in a week as the hard work on the training pitch is showing signs of moulding the team into a formidable cohesive unit. Our forwards had raised the standards very impressively against Skellig/Valentia the previous week and the defence was challenged to match them. They matched and surpassed expectations, limiting Castlegregory to shots from difficult angles. Of particular source of pride was regaining pocession from our own kickout, where we won 15 of 16. Our midfield continue to work themselves into the ground, moving the ball quickly into our free scoring forwards. Our team must continue working hard if they are to continue their progress. The attitude appears to good, but tougher challenges await.
Kerins O’Rahillys/ St. Pats 4-10 Castlegregory 0-11 Man of the match was Jake Hoare.

Congratulations: Congratulations and best wishes to all who graduated from the class of 2022 especially the students from Kerins O Rahillys.

Juvenile Academy training continues next Sunday at 10am in Ballyrickard we look forward to seeing you all then.  And remember new members always welcome so bring a friend along too.
