NÓTAÍ NA mBAN
We have now completed the first stage of our Lidl’s ‘ One Good Club’ programme after having got off to a slow start. We will have a Family Fun and Well-being day over the next few weeks…. something to look forward to for everyone in our club and community!
Our 2nd theme , TAKE NOTICE…Watch our social media pages .

Kerins O’ Rahilly’s young ladies who enjoyed the Gaelic4Girls programme. Well done to everyone!

GAELIC4GIRLS
Party time in Ballyrickard last Thursday evening… pizzas and treats galore as well as fun for this terrific bunch.
Birthday wishes to Alison Hoffman who celebrated her 8th birthday last Friday .
We will have the G4G ambassador visiting us soon , date TBC.

U12 GIRLS
Firstly welcome to Erin Collins who joined our wonderful bunch of young ladies during the week and brought a fantastic warm smile with her to our team. We hope that you will enjoy playing with us .

STRAND ROAD BLUES
In round 4 of the Co. League we hosted Laune Rangers in what we hoped to be a more competitive game for our team.
Laune Rangers had a large panel and asked us to play 15 a side to which we agreed to even though U12s is now a 13 a side competition. We thought that it would only be fair in order to allow plenty of game time for each girl on both teams.
We didn’t have a goalie on the day so asked one of our panel to play in goals… a very difficult position for anyone who isn’t used to playing there.
The visiting side had the upper hand throughout and proved to be too strong. Despite a tough day at the office , there were some good displays from our girls and good patches of play. Pick of the bunch was Ruby Foley who gave an exhibition on how to defend and Rachael Ahern who takes in and does what she learns during training.
In round 5 we are away to Ballymac on Thursday, June 9th . Throw in at 6.15p.m.

KERINS O’ RAHILLY TEAM
We made the short trip to the Spa pitch last Wednesday evening to play Churchill in round 4 of the Co. League. We were a point up at half time but took the foot off the brake in the second half… there were some standout performances from Emma Onyekwere, Olivia Crean, Allie Kerins , Rachael Ahern, Lexi Keane , Ruby Foley and Taylor Kate Leane showing no signs of fatigue after a very busy week.
In the next round we host Rathmore on Thursday , June 9th. Note change of fixture day because of community games finals on the Wednesday.
Best wishes to everyone competing in the Community Games final in Castleisland on Wednesday.

U14 GIRLS
Busy week ahead as we have a back game v Ballyduff on Tuesday evening and also have a game next Sunday . Thank you to Ballyduff management for obliging and changing our fixture. Throw in will be at 7.30p.m. in Ballyduff on Tuesday, June 7th. Best of luck  to everyone.
On Sunday June 12th we host Laune Rangers in round 3 of the Co. League. Time TBC.

FÉILE U15 PEIL na nÓG
After weeks of preparation the John West regional Féile Peil na nÓG finally came into view last Saturday.
Mallow GAA Complex was a sea of colour as many teams represented their counties in divisions 2 and 3.
For those who are not familiar with Féile it is a huge event for all underage LGFA and GAA players as they get a chance to play against teams from different  counties .
Usually all teams who qualified from each division would represent their county at National Féile  and thousands of children and families would parade with their club banners in what was a two day event .
This year obviously because of the past few years there was National and regional Féile. Only division 1 teams went to National and other divisions had regional. This didn’t matter as it’s all about the pride of representing your county which our U15 ladies did well captained by Kelly Fitzgerald.

Our coaches put in plenty of hard work in preparation for our big day.
We fundraised to provide gear for everyone and are thankful to Collins Equestrian for sponsoring gear bags for all. Stoves4U were seen in Mallow ( at the Home and Garden show last week)  for the second week in a row not in body but on our jerseys that Darren sponsored. Thank you!

Our senior goalie Shane Foley gave his time and encouraging words to all over the past few weeks. Thanks so much Shane . Many people contributed to our GoFundMe … thank you, it shows great community spirit. Management are buying footballs and training gear with money left over.
We are so incredibly lucky to have such supportive and generous people in our club and community. It is so greatly appreciated!
