Seniors: 

We will kick off the new season next Sunday 19th  when we travel to Churchill to take on the locals in Tralee town league – the throw-in is @ 12 noon.

County league fixtures have been issued which will see us continue to play in Division 1 with our “B” team competing in Division 6.

Our opening games will see us welcome newly promoted Castleisland Desmonds to Strand Rd on Sunday 19th March and our B team travelling to Dr Crokes on the same weekend.

All fixtures will be available to view on Clubzap and notifications will be issued weekly on Social Media platforms.

Club Championship: The draw for this year’s senior club championship will take place on Tuesday night next, 14th Feb live on Kerry GAA Facebook TV @ 19.30 ; format is  as in previous year, two groups of 4 teams with top two in each group advancing to semi finals and bottom club in each group playing off to retain their senior status.

Juveniles:

What a fantastic start to our Juvenile Academy on Sunday afternoon when we welcomed over 100 very excited children to the Sports Academy in MTU. Our enthusiastic coaches were delighted to see so many attending the first training session and are very excited for the year ahead. \

Each group enjoyed a fun filled hour while learning the key skills of football as well. Well done to everyone and we look forward to seeing you all again next week and remember if you know someone who might want to start playing football, bring them along new members are always welcome to our club.

Training continues this week as follows:

Minors (Players born in 2006/07) training on Mondays at 6pm to 7.15pm on astro in Blennerville & Fridays 6pm-7pm at MTU sports campus (indoors).

U15s (Players born 2008/09) training is on 4.45pm to 5.45pm on Frifday in Ballyricard.

U13s (born 2010/11) Training on Thursdays in the MTU Sports Campus Astro from 7pm-8pm.

U11s (Born 2012/13) training on Thursdays,MTU Sports Campus (Astro) from 7pm – 8pm.

Kerins O’Rahillys Juvenile Academy for

Boys U5s,U7s & U9s and Girls U6s,U8s & U10s will continue next Sunday, February 19th from 1pm-2pm indoor at the MTU Sports Academy.

Embrace our future… Ladies football is thriving! Kerry ladies success over the past few years is laudable .

Watching their successes should be a platform for girls everywhere to get involved . We as parents play a vital role in encouraging participation, bringing the girls to training and supporting them during games. Family is the core of our club.

We will build each girls self esteem and facilitate personal development.

U12 GIRLS

The 2022 season is off to a flying start. Four productive weeks spent indoor and on the Astro and a run on the pitch in Austin Stack Park.

Another great turnout last Saturday in the Sports Academy and terrific to see the girls having fun.

Indoor training continues from 12-1p.m. next Saturday.

On Saturday evening we will be heading to Austin Stack Park to support the Kerry ladies v Dublin. We will have a little treat for the girls beforehand.

All players are now itching to get out there to play football. We’re hoping to have details on fixtures in the coming weeks.

U14 GIRLS

Our condolences to Louise, your Mom Betty , brother Tom, our team mate  Erika , extended family and friends on the passing of your Dad / Grandad Mick . We are all thinking of you!

We are awaiting clarification on fixtures for the 2023 season.

Training continues on Tuesday in Tralee Sports Complex from 6-7p.m.

U16 GIRLS

We are delighted to announce the return of the U16s from Thursday, February 16th.

Training will be on the AstroTurf in the Sports Complex for the first few weeks. Bring a friend!

We don’t have detailed fixtures yet but round 1 of the county league will commence on March 31st.

U16 gradings TBC.

MINORS

The minor county league commences in April. More details to follow.

SENIOR LADIES

New players are always welcome,  former players….dust off your boots and come out and train.

AWARDS NIGHT

We will hold our annual awards night this Friday, February 17th in the Pat Healy room upstairs in the clubhouse. This will cover the years 2021 and 2022.

Looking forward to seeing the girls and their families at 7.30p.m.

We will also have a guest speaker on the night.

REGISTRATION

LGFA registration is now open. Once again you must complete this on the Foireann system (link has been forwarded to all).

Everyone who was registered last year can access the system in the same way.

March 31st is the deadline this year and will be going forward.

KERRY SENIOR LADIES

Wishing our fantastic Kerry team, management and all involved the best next Saturday evening as they face Dublin in round 4 of the National league.

Let’s make sure that we all get out and support these ladies!

FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP

The introduction to Gaelic games course that was scheduling for February 11th has been postponed.

Please be aware that the following are mandatory for all those involved in coaching teams and the KLGFA may request evidence of these from clubs throughout the year.

• Garda vetting

• Safeguarding

• Introduction to Gaelic games.

eVETTING and Safeguarding must be done with the LGFA or GAA. If you have done these through another organisation it doesn’t stand as every organisation requires their own.

CONDOLENCES

Our condolences to the family and friends of Mick Long, Killarney, Michael Brosnan and Michael Fitzgerald, Tralee. May their souls rest in peace.
