DR. SUSAN LAWLOR
Congrats to Dr. Susan Lawlor who has won  a GLOBAL award for highlighting the importance of dignity to those living with a mental health condition globally.
Susan is doing a mental health and fitness program in our club.
Susan is the 2020 Theworlddignityproject Mental Health Champion Award Winner in the Individual Category following Public voting.

This world recognition of Susan’s work from “The World Dignity Project” helps raise awareness of mental fitness globally and of the importance that every person’s  life matters and that those living with mental health problems should be treated with dignity and respect. If one life is saved then it’s a job well done!
Susan’s late brother Martin would be very proud of his sis. Well done again Susan!

RUN4PIETA
We received a letter in the post last week from Con O’ Connor on behalf of himself and the staff in Pieta House thanking  everyone in our club and community for participating and donating. Between us we raised €5112.94 . Well done to everyone!
The overall tally from GAA clubs all over Ireland to date has exceeded over €820, 000. It just shows that GAA is community.
This money raised will help people in distress. Thank you to everyone for your support and generosity.

JIGSAW 5—DAY 1000km TEAM CHALLENGE

After the RUN4PIETA a few people contacted us wondering if we had any more community events coming up. This may be of interest to you.  We may not currently be able to train together as a team but we  can aim to run a collective 1000kms in a week while promoting positive youth mental health in our  community!

The  Jigsaw 5-A-Day 1000km Team Challenge gives us  the opportunity to keep our club or team physically active, connected to the club, learn all about the 5-A-Day to better support their mental health and work towards achieving a shared goal.

For further details please what’s app or text Shirley (086) 8713552.
