ACADAMH NA nÒG
Today saw our Juvenile teams play Firies. While our U8 boys travelled to their home grounds we welcomed their U8 and 10 girls along with their U10 boys for a fantastic performance from all players.

The coaches were delighted to see each child show off the skills they have been practicing and getting to put them into action with a friendly game against Firies. Thank you to Firies and we look forward to playing you again in the future. Our fantastic U6’s continued to develop their skills with their coaches learning new skills in a fun Filled training session.  Today we saw huge numbers with 115 children partaking in games and training.
New members are always welcome to our club and if you have a friend who is interested in joining please bring them along on Sunday mornings to join in the fun.
As always all Covid guidelines were followed to a high standard today , huge thank you to everyone for playing their part.

U12 GIRLS
On Tuesday the U12 girls got off to a flying start in the Town League with an excellent performance against a committed Mitchel’s  team. Goals by Fiadh McCarthy, Taylor Kate Leane and Aoibheann McCarthy gave Kerins O’Rahillys a comfortable lead throughout the game.
Allie Kerins was excellent in goals as were our defence, Niamh Lynch, Donna O’Regan, Katie Higgins, Sophie Culloty, Farah  Leahy and Mia Molloy. Saoirse MacCarthy and Taylor Stack were on top form in midfield, helped by fantastic performances by forwards Fiadh McCarthy, Aoibheann McCarthy, Córa Meehan, Megan Gaynor, Aoife O’Connell and Taylor Kate Leane. The strong bench, consisting of Caragh Houlihan, Anna Corridon , Aoibhinn Corridon , Lexi Keane and Kelly Hayes added greatly to the big win. Final score 5-09 to 2-02. Well done to all!

This Tuesday we are away to Stacks in round 2 of the Town League. Throw in at 6.30p.m. in Connolly Park. Best of luck to the girls and their coaches.

Half time score was KOR 4-08

The second half was a very intense battle as Scartaglin kept coming back and they played extremely well. However thanks to some super performances from Kelly Fitzgerald, 4-02, Sophie Hassett 3-03, Aoibhín O’ Connor MacCarthy 0-06, Nathali  Mulumba 0-01, Saoirse O’ Connor MacCarthy and Lauren Doody we won by 6 points in the end.

Under 14 Boys
Our U14s were away to Tarbert last Wednesday evening in their final game of Phase 2.We knew this was always going to be a tough task against a physically stronger team and so it proved with Tarbert winning out on a scoreline of 5-15 to 3-6.We started the game well and put in a good performance all through the 1st half and even though at H/T Tarbert had a 7pt lead on a scoreline of 2-9 to 2-2 we were still well in the game.Into the 2nd half and Tarbert took control of game and outscored us 3-6 to 1-4 to win in the end 5-15 to 3-6.The lads can be very proud of the performance and effort against a team who had very big winning margins in their previous games.Despite the loss hopefully it will be a learning experience for the boys into the future. A big thanks to all parents who made the journey out aswell on Weds evening. We are awaiting confirmation as to whether or not there will be more games coming up over the next few weeks.

U16 GIRLS
CO. LEAGUE SEMIFINAL

Our hopes of reaching a county final were dashed on Friday evening as they were defeated by Moyvane in the Division 4 semi-final.

Shortlisted as potential winners of this competition, our girls were on the back foot of the game 10 minutes in after conceding 5 early goals. Playing catch-up against opponents who were on the ball seemed a bit too challenging.

Our opening flourish flattered only to deceive. Kelly’s goal after a few seconds, punishing hesitancy in the Moyvane backline, saw us open a 1-1 to 0-0 lead and things looked promising for us.

However, Moyvane soon settled into the game and in the 3rd minute Moyvane’s number 11 shook off a couple of tackles to shoot their first goal. The first water break of the day saw Moyvane lead  5-01 to 1-03.

After a few tactical changes KOR went out all fired up. By half time the girls reduced the difference to 6 points.

The second half was a great battle between the two sides but unfortunately it wasn’t our day. Our  girls never put their heads down and showed some serious determination to keep fighting until the final whistle.

Even though we are out of the County League, we still have the Town League to look forward to in a week.
We are home to Churchill in round 1 of the Town League which commences on Wednesday, September 23rd. We also have Na Gaeil and Austin Stacks in our group.
