Seniors:
As a long season draws to a close, our remaining fixtures are a town championship final vs Austin Stacks and a county league final vs Dr Crokes.

The town championship decider will take place on the weekend of the 3rd/4th Nov in Austin Stack Park – we await confirmation of the fixture.

The final of the county league is dependent on Dr Crokes commitments should they successfully defend their county championship title and their involvement thereafter in the Munster club championship.

For now, its time to reflect on the year and take the positives from it; we thank all of you for the fantastic support all year, in all locations and venues from Templenoe to Dirreen, Beaufort to Spa but most particularly the past few weeks when everyone turned out in such large numbers to cheer us on – go raibh mile maith agaibh go léir.

We thank the players and management for their commitment and dedication throughout the year – there are many events forsaken, family events rescheduled all for the sake of the team/club – its a wonderful loyalty and supported all the time by parents, wives, partners & family who all buy into the devotion to the cause playing a most significant part. Also, not forgetting our sponsors who continue to dig deep in supporting us.

Lotto:
There was no winner of last week’s lotto jackpot where the winning numbers drawn were: 21, 25, 27 & 28 – there was no match 3 winners. Next week’s jackpot will be for a prize of €2,900.

The five entrants for the special December draw are as follows: Connie Morrissey, Noreen Rusk, Blaithin ( c/o Pat Griffin), Peter Moran and John & Tara Doherty.

Tickets can purchased from the club house or any of the following locations: The Abbey Inn, Counihans , Princes St., Jimmys on Strand Road or Foleys Spar, Castlemaine Road.

We thank all of you who continue to  support this important fund raiser.

GLEN EMMETS VISIT

Our U8 boys finished their year with a visit from Glen Emmets from Co. Louth. It was a fantastic morning with great skills on display by all the children. The players had food in the club afterwards and were presented with beautiful medals by Glen Emmets.
A huge thank you to Seamus O’ Hanlon and our own Frank O’ Connor for organising along with Mark Fitzgerald who put huge effort into making sure everything was right for our guests.
It was great to have the parents and family members travel down to support the boys . We hope that everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend in the Kingdom.
A special thank you to David Moran for taking time out to talk the players.
Well done to all ! A strong relationship now exists between both clubs.

We have had a busy few weeks with the various age groups but have events coming up still between now and Christmas.
The U12 boys had a great day out in Bowling Buddies as had the U10 boys last week.
We finished our juvenile training with a visit to Sandy Feet Farm last weekend. Despite it being a miserable day with heavy showers it didn’t take from the fun they had. Thanks to Eleanor and Roy for their hospitality. Both children and parents would highly recommend going back again.

HALLOWEEN PARTY
Our annual party kicks off at 2p.m. in Charlie’s Bistro in the club with a medal presentation for everyone in the Juvenile Academy.
This will be followed by plenty of entertainment, fun and treat bags. You can wear fancy dress if you wish. Calling all children in our community to come join us for what promises to be a great day out.

GRACE MORAN MEMORIAL WALK
It is less than 3 weeks away now to Grace’s walk in aid of Pieta House, Cuan Mhuire and MS Tralee / District Branch.
Sponsorship cards are available in Moran’s Foodstore in Strand Road. You can also make a donation online or on Sunday, November 11th at 2p.m. More details to follow over the next few weeks.
Let us do Grace and her family proud by having a great turnout for a great cause.

Tea / coffee served afterwards with compliments of Kerins O’Rahilly’s Club in Strand Road.
