ACADAMH NA nÓG
2020 was a strange year for everyone and one that we will never forget. As we have entered another lockdown we should remember all of the positive activities we had last year. We missed out on club parties and get togethers and didn’t have as much training and games but we had all of this!

•Indoor training in the ITT in January and February.
• Lockdown competition in March and April for our youngsters with some amazing prizes.
• Skillz Skool hosted by Declan and Adam Quill with Erika videoing and Mattie helping out.
• We all worked hard to keep each other safe and abided by the Covid guidelines .
• Cúl Camp in Strand Road.
• Our annual Summer Camp in Healy Park, Ballyrickard in August .
• We helped those in our community with their shopping etc. and kept in touch .
• We did Run4Pieta and collectively raised an amazing €814,351 towards a great service.
We enjoyed it while maintaining social distancing and did whatever we did non stop over 48 hours!
• Our Academy numbers grew despite Covid.
• When we were allowed train and play we had teams in nearly every week and we travelled also.
• Halloween prizes
• Advent calendar prizes for the girls and boys in our academy
• Santa came to visit in Strand Road and even did video calls

We didn’t do too badly at all !
Thank you to all for your support, encouragement and understanding in what was one difficult year.

Thanks to our sponsors.  We have had many challenges but have shown great resilience . Great credit is due to our youngsters who have had so much to deal with in these changing times.

Little did we ever think that we would live like this but it isn’t going to be forever . It was lovely to see our enthusiastic girls and boys enjoying their training and games. Thank you also to the dedicated Moms and Dads who had to spend a long morning in Ballyrickard because of split training times.

As soon as we are able we will he back out there training. We are all so looking forward to getting back and seeing everyone. Stay Safe!

Here’s to a 2021 full of GAA action!

Some of our members, families and friends have had hardship and many have had deep loss and sadness . We are thinking of you going into 2021.

We can’t wait to be back on the pitches together so let’s stick it out and abide by the Covid guidelines and get through this. Hopefully we will have more football this year.
