Division 1 County League Result
Beaufort 1-11.

Kerins O’Rahillys.  0-18

The senior squad continued is winning run with a well deserved victory away to Beaufort in the final round of the Division 1 County League.
The win assured us top stop in our group and a place in next weeks final against Dingle.
We started the brighter and raced into a two point lead with points from Conor Hayes and Shane McElligott. Beaufort respond with two to level shortly after.
We had the majority of possession at this stage and that dominance was rewarded with points from centre half back Cormac Coffey and Conor Hayes .
We then conceded a penalty and were fortunate when the resultant spot kick crashed back off the crossbar and was cleared to safety.
This left us ahead four points to two at the water break.
Our dominance continued at the restart with two rapid points. One from the lively Barry John Keane and a second from the impressive Cormac Coffey , who’s driving runs were causing all sorts of problems for the home team.
Beaufort then launched a rare attack and found themselves with a great goal scoring opportunity, but Shane Foley in goal advance swiftly from his line to smother the shot.
We were then dealt a blow when we lost influential Karl Mullins through injury.
His replacement Tom Hoare was straight into the action and fisted a good score coming in along the end line. Beaufort added to their tally , but we finished the half stronger with a free from Jack Savage and a point from Barry John Keane to leave the half time score nine points to five in our favour.
Beaufort got the opening score of the second half, this was quickly cancelled out with a point from Cormac Coffey. We stretched our lead with a Jack Savage free and a Conor Hayes point before Cormac Coffey again raised a white flag with his fourth of the afternoon to put us seven points ahead.
Beaufort then had a period of dominance , winning a lot of primary possession and this was rewarded with a goal in the thirteenth minute .  We responded well and kicked the next two scores from Jack Savage, one from a free just before the water break.
The introduction of Gavin O Brien at midfield for the injured Shane Brosnan helped us regained our dominance around the middle , where he won a number of kick outs when the home side were beginning to cut into our lead.
Barry John Keane kicked another point with five minutes remaining to stretch our lead back to four.
A fine piece of fielding and a driving run from the aforementioned O’Brien, who offloaded to Conor Hayes to slot over nicely from close range was to be the final score of the game.
The defence was again solid despite the absence through injury of team captain, full back Ross O Callaghan . Donagh Buckley and Patrick Begley continued their good form , Cian Sayers gained a lot of possession and linked up well with our forward division. Cormac Coffey was outstanding at centre back , scoring four super points and drove us on at every opportunity. Both Karl Mullins and Shane Brosnan at midfield worked tirelessly until injury ended their participation. Up front Barry John Keane lead to attack well and inside Conor Hayes and Jack Savage were huge threats all afternoon.
Tom Hoare and Gavin O’Brien’s return ,following his recent injury, was a welcome boost as their size and physical presence was vital around the midfield sector.
The introduction of Danial Bowler, Adam Lacey and debutant Conor O’Sullivan was another bonus as game time for these young players at this level is invaluable.
Management and players can now look forward to a League Final next weekend , and hopefully the injuries we have can clear up in time for us to have a full compliment available for the fixture.

Division 5 County League Result
Cromane 3-18.   KOR 1-11

Minor Central Region Semi Final Result.
Ardfert.  2-17       Kerins O Rahillys 0-11
Last Monday evening saw us exit the competition having fought bravely against Ardfert. As has been the case for much of this season , we again lined out short of a number of regulars , injuries and inter county involvement have seriously hampered our development. Lining out with so many under 15’s was always going to be a challenge, however all the players who were involved were not found wanting for effort .
We should be stronger and more competitive in the coming weeks when we see the return of a number of key players from Kerry Minor commitments and injury.
Players will be informed of training schedule.
