Senior AGM

The Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday last in the Club Bistro. It was very well attended and the committee are as follows. President: Micheál Kerins, Chairman: Frank O’Connor, Vice-Chair: Seán Walsh, Secretary: Haulie Kerins, Treasurer/Financial Controller: Mike Mangan, Registrar: Billy Thompson, PRO: Breda Dyland and Co Board Delegate: Pat McTigue.

Resigning Treasurer Mike Griffin and Commercial Manager John Nix were thanked by Chairman Frank O’Connor and all present for their outstanding contributions to the club over the years. Neither will be far away. Mike is taking a break from committee work but helping out with our U16 team and John has moved across to become the Juvenile Vice-Chair in the club. We wish the both every success.

Paul Hayes too was thanked for his contributions over the years. Reports were given from all sections of the club and all volunteers thanked. It was pointed out that without our volunteers our club would cease to exist so they are the backbone and will always be so. Our new Senior management team for the year ahead was introduced. This of course had become “breaking news” during the week so there were no surprises but it was made official at the AGM. They are as follows Barry O’Shea: Manager, Pat Flavin: Selector, Ray Walsh: Selector, Maurice Horan Coach/Selector and Joe O’Connor: Fitness Trainer. We wish them luck in the year ahead.
