Chairman of Kerins O’Rahillys, Haulie Kerins, presents a cheque for €500 to Inspired members. Also included are dancers Rosie McGrath and Dominic Walker and Club PRO Pat Flavin.

KERINS O’Rahillys held a very successful Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser in late March and the club recently held a get together and charity night at their club bar.

The 24 participants were treated to dinner and drinks by the club and had great fun watching the DVD and performing again the dances that enthralled the audience on the Strictly night itself.

The club generously agreed to donate €1,000 (€500 each) to both the charities of popular and judges winners.

The Club presented cheques on the night to three local charities — €250 each for Recovery Haven and The Samaritans, nominated by Eileen O Shea and Ogie Moran respectively and €500 to Inspired Tralee, nominated by Rosie McGrath and Dominic Walker.

Haulie Kerins, Club Chairman, commented that; “it was great to have a dancers reunion as they brought such great life to our club during the early months of this year and they performed so magnificently on the night. The standard of dancing was above everyone’s expectations.”

He also welcomed back choreographer Jackie O’Mahony who he hoped the club would be working with again very shortly.

Haulie was delighted the club helped out the nominated charities saying that “all three charities do such great work. It was only right that our Club acknowledge this great work by making financial contributions to help them with this work.”
