SENIOR AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Senior club was held in the club bistro on Friday last, 29th November.  There were no motions forwarded to the Club Secretary for consideration.  Mike Mangan and Catriona O’Sullivan were honoured as Club Persons of the Year.

Catriona is involved in organising our 10km run every January, sells our Club Lotto tickets at Kerins O’Rahillys’ home games and generally gets stuck into any fundraising the club undertakes.

Mike Mangan has given five years of outstanding service as Club Treasurer, always meeting the challenge of keeping the club finances in order.  Mike is a great friend to all in the club and is stepping down for work reasons but will continue to co-ordinate the Club Lotto.  Mike is succeeded as Club Treasurer by John McCarthy and everybody in the club wishes John every success in his new role.

Catriona O’Sullivan, Clubwoman of the Year with Club President Micheál Kerins.

ROCK STREET POST OFFICE CLUB LOTTO COMPETITION

The Club is currently competing with other clubs for the sole rights to sell our Club Lotto tickets in Rock Street Post Office from April 2020.  To help us win this competition, all you have to do is mention your support for Kerins O’Rahillys when you make any financial transaction in Rock Street Post Office and you will collect points for the club.  The points are collected by stamping a card that you can keep yourself or else leave in the Post Office if that’s handier for you.  When the card is full, you can give it to Paula O’Sullivan of our Management Committee or else hand it into Rock Street Post Office – and then start a new card!

The nu, mber of points awarded depends on the type of transaction you make.  For example, if you open a new deposit account, you will earn five points for Kerins O’Rahillys and if you buy a booklet of 10 stamps, you will earn the club two points.  We are asking all club members and supporters to get behind us in our efforts to win the competition.  So if you’re buying stamps for Christmas, think Rock street Post Office and then think Kerins O’Rahillys when you’re in there!  All support welcome.

SNIPPETS from “top of the right”

•             The Snippets Man sends his congrats to Mike Mangan and Catriona O’Sullivan who were honoured as Club Persons of the Year.

•             He hears that Catriona once queried whether the PRO is anti-women?

•             The PRO was quick to point out in reply that all his aunties are women……

•             The Snippets Man is also claiming no credit for Mike’s award.

•             But reckons that he boosted Mike’s profile hugely over the past year!
