Senior Football
Senior Football League Round 6 Division 1 Kerins O’Rahillys v DrCrokes at 3.30 in Strand Rd on Sunday next the 19th.
Round 3 of the Garvey’s Senior County Championship will be played on Sunday July the 10th. We will play Legion at 3.30. It is the second game in a double bill. The first game is at 2pm between St Kieran’s and Rathmore.
Junior Leagues
Strand Rd’s played Dingle in Dingle on the Bank Holiday Monday last. Strand Rd were the victors on a score of 4-13 to 3-09. Strand Rd will play Listowel Emmets this Wednesday at 7.30 in Strand Rd. Strand Rd play Miltown/Castlemaine and Charlie Kerins are down to play Ardfert on Friday. Both games are away with starting times of 7.30. Fixtures are subject to change so as always keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
U21 Football Championship
The draw was made last week and Kerins O’Rahillys will play West Kerry in the first round. Extra time will apply. The game will be played in Strand Rd at 7pm on June 22nd.
Minor Football
Kerins O’Rahillys v Austin Stacks in the Gealtee Fuels Division 1 Coiste Trá Lí final was postponed until the 27th of June at 7pm.Venue to be confirmed. Keep an eye on the notes for the fixture.
Féile 2016
With just under two weeks to go to the John West South West U14 Girls and Boys Féile excitement is building in the region. We are no different in Kerins O’Rahillys. Both our U14 teams are busy preparing as are all of the host families and all of those who are preparing behind the scenes for what will be a great weekend for the club and the county. As always we have no doubt that it will be a success and everyone will enjoy it. Please come and support our teams. Full details of the schedule next week.
Juvenile News
Saturday Morning Football for U6-U10s continues on Saturday mornings at 11am in Healy Park Ballyrickard. There are great numbers at all age groups and new players are always welcome. U8 and 10s are back to Thursday evening training in Healy Park Ballyrickard at 6pm.
U12s training Healy Park Saturday 12pm.
U14s Central League Kerins O’Rahillys 3-10 v Laune Rangers 2-10
Our 14s had a good win on Sunday last v Laune Rangers in Killorglin in the Central League. We had a great start with a goal straight from the throw in, good work by TJ McMahon in midfield when he kicked a great ball into Mark Roche who finished to the back of the net in great style.
We were put under a lot of pressure after this from the Laune Rangers forwards, but great work by our defence especially Stephen Nix and Odran Cronin keep them at bay and we went in at half time with a 3 point lead.
Unfortunately we had a bad start to the 2nd half where we seemed to lose our way, Conor O’Sullivan really came into the game in a big way and that coincided with us turning the game around, we were 4 points down with 15 minutes left, but good play from Conor and Gavin Burrows gave us a 3 point lead entering the final quarter, a goal from Laune Rangers levelled matters but we finished very strong, a great bout of passing ended with Michael Forester crashed a great ball to the net to give us a 3 point win, overall a very good performance and very useful prep game ahead of Feile in 2 weeks’ time.
Best on the day were Liam Magee in goal (who made some great saves and his kick outs were excellent) Stephen Nix and Odran Cronin in defence, TJ McMahon and Gavin Burrows in midfield and Conor O’Sullivan (man of the match) and Mark Roche up front. Final Score Kerins O’Rahillys 3.10 Laune rangers 2.10. Next game in the Central League on Thursday next the 16th. Time and venue to be confirmed. Keep an eye on Facebook for details.
Ladies News

The Lotto takes place in Charlie’s Bar every Monday. The Lotto results for Monday 6th June were 10, 17, 26, and 27. There was no jackpot winner. The next jackpot will be €2,700. There were 2 match 3 winners. They were Tom O’Shea DD and Tim O’Brien c/o Mrs O’Brien. The 5 people drawn for the December 2016 draw (4 x€250) were Dinny O’Connor DD, Nora Sheehy DD, John Dunne c/o Ann, P Hill c/o Ann and Ena Healy co Ann. To play the Kerins O’Rahillys Lotto, four numbers are selected from 1 to 28. If anybody matches the four numbers selected on the night he/she wins the Jackpot. Match three numbers to win €25. In the event that we do not receive two consecutive monthly direct debits an individual’s lotto numbers will no longer be valid for entry to our weekly lotto draw. If an individual cancels their direct debit their lotto entry is deemed cancelled.
Lotto Sellers The club needs lotto ticket sellers. It can be worth your while. If you are interested contact any member of the Senior Committee.
Performing Arts Classes
Tralee Performing Academy are pleased to have started singing, dancing and acting classes in the Kerins O’Rahillys club function rooms in Charlies Bar and Bistro and are on the lookout for new students aged between 4 and 16 years. The classes take place every Saturday in the two downstairs function rooms under the tuition of qualified teachers, Tara Dore, Tim Landers and Jackie O’Mahony. All classes are open to boys and girls. The 4-8 year olds class (hush puppies) is from 4-5pm and the 9-16 year olds class (tigers) is from 4-5.30pm. Call or text Tim on 0834056829 for further information.

Yoga Classes
There are yoga classes in the club on Thursday nights from 7.30 to 9pm. The class consists of warm up, stretching, workout, toning, stress release and relaxation. Phone or text Mike at 0872732591 for further details.
Pilates Classes
Do you want to improve your flexibility? Do you suffer from back, neck or hip pain? Do you want to improve your strength and tone up? Well look no further “Pilates Classes” have arrived at Kerins O’Rahillys. Mondays 7-8 are for men only, Fitness and Flexibility is at 8.15 to 9.15. Charlie’s Bar
Club Lotto on takes place in the bar every Monday night with a special in house raffle if you are present so why not pop along. Why not treat yourself to lunch in Charlie’s. There’s something to please everyone. The Active Retired Coffee Morning Group meets every Tuesday morning in Charlie’s. Come along and keep in touch with old friends and make new friends. All welcome. “Dance for Fun” is on Wednesday nights. This has grown in popularity and is a very entertaining night out, a great way to stay fit, learn to dance and to make new friends.
