Senior Football

Senior Town Championship final vs Ballymac has been re-fixed for Sunday the 13th of November at 2pm in Strand Road. There will be extra time n the event of a draw.

Cahill Cup

Charlie Kerins played Skellig Rangers in the final of the Cahill Cup on Saturday last in Cromane. The game was played in ideal conditions and while Charlie Kerins got off to the stronger start with more possession and while Skellig Rangers did kick a lot of wides in the first few minutes of the game they soon settled and proved the much stronger side on the day and ran out winners on a score of Skellig Rangers 1-15 to Charlie Kerins 1-06.

Best on the day for Charlie Kerins were Mark Fitzgerald 1-02, Declan Quill 0-03, Sean Collins 0-01 with John O’Connor working hard out field and Niall Hobbert pulling off some fine saves. Thanks to all who travelled to support the team on the day.

Austin Stack Park Stewards

As Tralee clubs we should all be very proud of the new development at Austin Stack Park. However in order to hold games there in safety there will have to be proper stewarding provided for all games. Tralee clubs need to get behind this so we would appreciate it if you could give some of your time to help out. The same people will not be need for every game. Kerry GAA will provide full training. Contact Breda Dyland for information.
Juvenile News
With training for all age groups finished for the season the notes this week will be short. The only juvenile team in action this week was the U10s. They headed to Ballymac on Sunday morning last to participate in a mini blitz.

What a beautiful morning they had for it. They played 3 games in total, 2 against Ballymac and 1 against Glanmire of Cork. The boys played really well in all games and their coaches were very impressed with them. The boys came away with a goody bag which always goes down well. A big thank you to Ballymac for having us out at the blitz.

The U15s will play Ballymac on Monday morning (bank holiday) at 11.30 in Caherslee in the Town Championship. A report on this game will be available in next week’s notes.

As many of you have seen on Facebook at this stage, we will be holding a Christmas Fair in the club on the 11th Dec. There will be a variety of stalls on the day and if anybody is interested in displaying any of their products please contact Shirley Doody, Marie Nix, Breda Dyland or Kathy Mc Carthy and we will be delighted to help. Any toys, books, or Christmas themed items you may wish to donate would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations

Congratulations to C.B.S. The Green on reaching the U15A Munster Final on Wednesday last where they overcame a very strong Rochestown team played in Millstreet.Strand Road’s Conor O’Sullivan gave a massive display in the number 15 jersey on the day and Stephen Nix when introduced had a very solid game. We wish the team the very best in the Final on the 16th Nov when they take on St Brendan’s Killarney.

Congratulations to Tom Flavin (full back) and Joseph O’Sullivan (introduced at corner forward) who recently won the primary schools final in Austin Stack Park with their school Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn. They now go on to contest the division 1 semi-final in Killarney after the mid term break. We wish them the best of luck.
