McGrath Cup: Kerry won the McGrath Cup for the fifth time in their history when overcoming Limerick on Sunday after extra time; at half time leading by 1-6 to 0-4 the Kingdom seemed to be coasting but a strong second half showing by the locals tied the game up at 1-11 each at the end of the 70 mins.

Extra time was needed and Kerry took the spoils running out winners on a final scoreline of 3-13 to 2-12. David Moran helped himself to 1-1, Barry John to two points from frees, both for fouls on himself with Jack Savage adding one point. Well done to the lads on this victory.

Corn Ui Mhuiri: It was a mixed week for the Tralee teams involved in the quarter finals with CBS getting the upper hand on ISK by 3 points and Mounthawk going down by a similar margin to St Flannans of Ennis; congrats to Shane Foley, Tom Hoare and Aaron Roche who were part of the CBS outfit and they now look forward to a semi final on 4th Feb vs Cork side Colaiste Chriost Ri which is fixed for Rathmore; commiserations to Sean Collins, Colm Carmody, Sean Griffin & Rory O’Connor who were part of the defeated Mounthawk side.

Club Lotto: The jackpot of €5800 (16th Jan) was not won last week where the winning numbers drawn were- 4, 13 , 25 ,& 29. Connie Morrissey of Caherslee was the only Match 3 winner which now sees this weeks jackpot increase to €5,900. Tickets @ €2 can be purchased from club members or in Charlies Bar on Monday nights prior to the draw. Also on Monday nights a special in house raffle takes place so why not take yourself along to the clubhouse for a chance to win.
