Strictly Come Dancing: A very enjoyable function was held on Friday night last in Strand Rd when the winning dancers nominated charities were presented with their cheques from the 25th March.

The charities –   Inspired, Recovery Haven and The Samaritans were the beneficiaries and their spokespeople were all very grateful to Ogie & Eileen, Dominic & Rosie for having nominated them and were full of praise for all the participants who made the night of the 25th March one to remember – thoughts now turning to next years event already!
New Website: Our new website ( www.kerinsorahillys.com) is now on line containing latest news, results, updates – make sure you log on to catch up with everything thats happening in our club.
Seniors: All thoughts are on next week now and our upcoming encounter with South Kerry in the county championship which will be played in Strand Rd on Sunday next 14th May with a 2.30 start. South Kerry have been one of stand out divisional sides for the past number of years in this competition and being able to call on the likes of Bryan Sheehan, Killian Young  plus a host of under age stars they will be a tough nut to crack. However, no stone is being left unturned by management and players in an effort to get off to a winning start so a great match is anticipated and support as always greatly welcomed.
Junior League: Strand Rd will compete in Group 1 of the county junior leagues along with Spa, Glenflesk, Legion, Gneeveguilla & Dingle – games are scheduled to begin on Friday night 19th May.
Junior Blues: Training continues each Sunday  morning in Ballyrickard with large numbers present and fun being the order of the day.
Fixtures: U-14 boys are away to Firies this Weds night, 10th @ 19.00
U-16s: We await the winners of the Dingle vs Aunascaul/Lispole semi final before we know a date and venue for our Central League final – more on this later.
Lotto: The lotto has climbed to €7,400 as there was no winner of last weeks jackpot where the winning numbers drawn were: 1, 19, 31 & 32. There were no match 3 winners and the participants for the Dec raffle are: Ger Griffin, Norah Sweeney, Jackie O’Brien, Marion O’Connor and Donncha Foley. Thanks to all who continue to support and if you feel like playing you can purchase a ticket on Monday nights or from the club at any time – you can also play on line.

Charlie’s Bar: A range of activities take place weekly in the bar with all tastes catered for – from pilates on Mondays & Tuesdays to Irish dancing on Wednesdays, to card playing ( Whist Drive) on Thursdays; there is live music on week ends with food each evening. Friday night specials include a steak/chips with a pint or glass of wine all for €19.95- why not make Charlies your next port of call for your night out? You can contact Tom or Eileen on 7124956.
