NÓTAÍ NA mBAN*
As part of our “One Good Club” programme we are having a Family Fun and Well-being Day on Sunday,  July 17th. What a day it will be for our club and community with live music from Owen Rua, dancing and fun moves from our world dance  championship teacher Cassie Leen, face painting, puppet show, food, fun competitions , sport and much more.
Our Ukrainian friends will also be joining us. Our committee are putting our heads together with
members of theirs to do something also on the day. All welcome!

*U12 GIRLS*
Our ladies were just outstanding during the Co. league. We may not have brought home any silverware but we have two lovely teams from front to back. Great team bonding and friendships made too. A real joy to see how well everyone is progressing over the past few months.

*CROKE PARK TRIP*
Our U12s are off to Croke Park on Sunday, July 31st . It should be a great day out with plenty of ladies football to watch. We’re looking forward to a great day of fun, bonding and football. What a day it will be !

*MLGFA BLITZ*
Looking forward to heading to a Munster LGFA blitz on Saturday, August 20th.
Pre Covid our teams would have gone to many a local blitz in Kerry or another county…many of us  remember travelling to villages that we had never heard of in remote areas and always getting a warm welcome from the host clubs. We had good times back then!
We held the MLGFA U8 / U10  blitz in Ballyrickard a few years ago. The more games players play , the better as they’re putting into action what they’re learning while also  enjoying themselves.

*KERINS O’ RAHILLY TEAM*
We played Scartaglin in the division 2 B final of the Co. League last Wednesday evening.
It was defined a game of four quarters as we  struggled to get our game going in the first three and found ourselves a good few points down but managed to get things moving in the fourth quarter  and actually found ourselves catching up .

The goalies from both teams had great kick outs but many went out over the sideline as the width of the pitch seemed confusing for them.

We made a change in positions the final 10 minutes  . Our late rally unfortunately wasn’t enough though and we ran out of time. It was a performance that we will learn much from and will stand them in good stead with more competitions to play.

Thanks to our coaches and supporters  who always give each and every girl plenty of encouragement and support.

Our captains on the day were Allie Kerins and Emma Onyekwere who showed great leadership as always. Congrats to our young ladies who always do us proud .

Thanks to Scartaglin  for a sporting game, to the ref for his excellent officiating and to all the supporters in attendance.
Congrats to Scart on their win.

*STRAND ROAD BLUES*
These carefree bubbly young ladies  took to the field against Listowel’s St. Emmets last Sunday morning in Pat Healy Park, Ballyrickard for the Co. league final.

Captains on the day were Rachael Ahern and Emily Corridon who have come on so much over the past few months.

Our ladies were sporting their new jerseys , sponsored by Sandy Feet Farm.
Hard luck to everyone! A mighty effort by all involved .
Their new jerseys only look Fantastic!

*U14 GIRLS*
KOR v CURROW
Our team welcomed Currow for round 5 of the Co. League division 4 game last Tuesday evening . We played well together from the first whistle and ran out winners, which their performance deserved. Hard work, teamwork, skill and commitment on show throughout with some great scores too.

On the Ring last Sunday.. Kerins O’ Rahilly’s U14s who played Southern Gaels , beautiful drive, great scenery and a fine win.

SOUTHERN GAELS B v KOR
An early but scenic  drive on part of the Ring last Sunday as we travelled to play Southern Gaels B in round 6.
The girls capped off a wonderful week of football with a superb performance against the home team. Well done to our players and management. Thank you to Southern Gaels for hosting and best wishes for the rest of the Co. League.

*U16 GIRLS*
Training times will be sent out during the week.

*MINOR LADIES*
We have confirmed our Co. league semi final v Castleisland Desmonds for Thursday, July 28th,  Time TBC

*SENIOR LADIES*
Well done to our senior ladies who were away to St. Pats / Churchill last Tuesday for division 4 of the Donal Curtin Cup .
Hardy tackles, huge work rate , great scores and a great bunch of ladies. Thanks to our coaches and not forgetting the referee George O’ Donnell for coming to the rescue.
Next game is against St. Pats / Churchill again. This time in the North Kerry league. We have home advantage.

*BEST WiSHES*
All roads lead to Tullamore next Saturday , July 9th as we take on Armagh in the All Ireland Senior Championship quarter final. All eyes will be on our Kerry ladies with Strand Road’s Declan Quill as joint manager. We wish our Kerry team and management the very best , let’s go Kerry!

Juvenile Notes

Another busy morning at academy with an element of excitement for the upcoming Kerry v Dublin game on this Sunday.

Thanks to our dedicated committee and coaches for always ensuring everything runs so smoothly each Sunday morning.

We welcomed a few new members this week which was lovely to see and we hope they are very happy and enjoy every minute with us.

As always new members welcome to join any time. We hope everyone who is taking part in Cùl Camps in Strand Rd Main Pitch this week has an enjoyable week improving on their skills while having fun with their friends and making new friends.
