Seniors:
We have a two week break now before we enter the group stages of the senior club championship which will begin with the game vs Rathmore on Sat evening 12th August in Fitzgerald Stadium where throw-in is @ 5 pm.
Dr Crokes and Dingle are the other two teams in our group with confirmation of these fixtures awaited.
Div 6:
We concluded our campaign in this division on Tuesday night last with a comprehensive win over St Michael’s Foilmore in Strand Road – final score, 5-15 to 1-11.
This team under the tutelage of Barry O’Shea and Denis Hanafin performed very well all through the competition and ultimately finished in the top 6.
Commiserations to Micheál Quirke, Kerry management and team on their loss to Dublin at the weekend – this was a game which went down to the wire and with a little bit of luck could have gone Kerry’s way.
We thank the players for their commitment and enjoyment they have given us this year.
NÓTAÍ NA mBAN:
While the evenings may be assuming a distinctive Autumnal feeling there is still plenty of ongoing activity and much more to come in the months ahead.
Heartiest congrats to our Kerry ladies and our own Declan Quill who have secured their place in the All Ireland final .
We have this to look forward to on Sunday, August 13th when we will go all out to support the Kerry ladies, management and those who work hard in the background organising everything in their bid for national glory.
Preparations are underway for our young ladies to go to cheer on the team in their final destination, the hallowed turf of Croke Park.
U8 AND U10 MLGA BLITZ
We are looking forward to hosting the Munster LGFA blitz next Saturday, August 5th in Pat Healy Park, Ballyrickard. We will have ladies teams from across Munster participating and hopefully the weather will be fine.
This LGFA blitz will be about player participation, enjoyable football and fun .
U12 GIRLS
The U12s captained by Meabh Kennedy made it five consecutive wins last Thursday when they played Firies in round 5 of the Co. league.
The opening two quarters was a one sided affair with our girls leading 3-01 to no score.
The third quarter started well for Firies with them tagging on a point and a goal. This was followed by another three points by our team and just before the end of the third quarter Firies scored a second goal.
The final quarter was neck and neck with both teams trading scores despite the opposition being dominant in winning most of the kick outs.
Ava O’Donoghue rattled the back of the net and the Firies team retaliated scoring another two goals and a point and Aoibhinn Corridon scored the final point of the match.
An outstanding hard fought battle toward the end but the girls held shape and nullified any potential danger.
Final Score:
Kerins O’ Rahillys 4-05
Firies 4-02.
This U12 panel has been working very hard since January under the watchful eyes of Adrian, Tricia, Mary and Richard. Well done to each of these girls who have put their hearts and souls into every training session and match.
They are now through to the division 4 Cup final of the Co. league on August 8th (tbc) and will play Rathmore.

U14 GIRLS
After a few stressful hiccups and a very understanding and patient Currow side the quarter final of the division 4 Co. league took place in Strand Road last Thursday evening at the later time of 7.30p.m.
Many thanks to Currow for being so obliging and waiting.
We ran out winners on the night.
Preparations are underway for the semis when our U14s will meet either Na Gaeil or Dingle, time and venue to be confirmed.
U16 GIRLS
Don’t just hang up your boots yet ladies as there’s plenty more football to come.
There’s the U15 and U17 championship coming up soon as well as the Town league, district etc.
Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday. See you then!
MINOR LADIES
Our minor ladies reignited their league campaign at Derreen, Killarney with a win over Legion.
Having not played since their victory over Moyvane back in May, our girls in blue picked up where they left off in round 5 of the Co. league, in what was a comfortable win against a spirited Legion side.
Our ladies started the game at a lightning pace and this continued throughout the first half.
The second half again saw the Strand Road ladies well in charge of the game as our forwards continued to thrive from early ball. We ran out comfortable winners on the night.
This team, many of whom have been together from U6 and U8 are playing lovely football. Long may it continue!
Best wishes to Legion in the remainder of the competition.
For their next outing they will host Kilcummin in Pat Healy Park, Ballyrickard in a back game on Friday, August 4th. Throw in will be at 7p.m.
SENIOR LADIES
Our senior ladies played their final round of the Donal Curtin Cup last Monday evening against a strong Glenflesk side who had scored 3-23 in their previous match.

Our ladies came out a much stronger team in the second half and we won well.
Final Score :
Glenflesk 1-02
Kerins O’ Rahillys 2-12
Our senior team has won five of their games in this competition, drawn one and lost one. They are number 3 on the league table and will meet Fossa in the semifinal with whom they drew with in their last encounter.
