Mouth-Guards

As you may be aware it will be compulsory for all players senior right down to juvenile to wear mouth-guards at training sessions and when playing games.

This comes into effect for seniors from 1st January 2014 and has been in effect for all others since last January. If players fail to wear mouth guards they will not be permitted to participate in football training or matches. No mouthguard No game! Further information on this rule can be found online at http://www.gaa.ie.

Ladies Football

U14/U16: Town League. On a perfect evening for football our U16 Ladies took on Na Gaeil in the town league. The game started slow enough with both teams trying to find their feet. They were fairly evenly matched throughout the 1st half with the score tied at half-time 1-2 to 1-2.

The 2nd half burst into life with rapid scores from both sides. It was a fantastic game full of action with nothing separating the 2 teams.

In the final minutes of the game we were ahead by 2 points but a last charge by Na Gaeil produced a goal which put them ahead by 1. The girls gave it all they had but the final whistle blew and that was that. Final score Na Gaeil 2-9 Kerins O’Rahillys 3-5.

U16 girls played Moyvane in the Division 4 Co final on Sunday last. The result was Kerins O’Rahillys 1-04 Moyvane 1-09.

U16 and U14 ladies train every Monday at 6.00 in Ballyrickard.
