Strand RoadJuveniles

U6/8/10

Saturday morning training continued on Saturday last with numbers growing as our Indian summer continues. Training continues on Saturday next at 11am in Healy Park Ballyrickard. All welcome.

U8/10 Girls U10 Girls travelled to Passage West in Cork on Saturday last to take part in the Annual Passage West Ladies U8/10 Blitz.

This year there were over 70 teams from all over the country taking part. The girl’s day started in Strand Road at 7.30 where they and their Mentors along with travelling parents boarded the bus and headed off.

They took part in the teams parade and as usual credit to the girls for being the most vocal team in the parade. They then went on to play their games against St Pauls Cats from Antrim, Banteer and Mayfield and played very well in all games showing that this team will be one to watch in the future.

Special thanks to “Amber” Monavalley for treating the girls to McDonalds on the way home. It was a great way to round off the day. Well done to all involved and special thanks to all the families who travelled, helped out and supported on the day.

U14s U14s have qualified for the Division 3 Town League semi-final due to be played on Wednesday the 24th at 6.30. Venue to be confirmed.

U16s U16s played Austin Stacks in the Town League on Monday evening last. They were ahead for most of the game but a late come back from Austin Stacks left the final score Kerins O’Rahillys 3-10 Austin Stacks 2-12. Next game Kerins O’Rahillys v Churchill in Churchill at 6.30 on Friday the 19th.
