KERRY Airport is due to commence discussions with Ryanair in the coming days ahead of the airline’s planned return to the Kerry-Dublin route later this month.

Ryanair has notified Kerry Airport that it intends to operate the route once a day until the end of August and has committed to restoring a twice-daily service from September.

Ryanair began selling seats for the route a week ago, scheduled to begin on July 28,  but last Thursday Kerry Airport Ireland CEO, John Mulhern, said no formal discussions had taken place. However, today’s statement indicates talks will now take place and the flights will go ahead.

“We are looking forward to welcoming passengers who wish to avail of the service between Kerry and Dublin which can now be booked at Ryanair.com,” said Kerry Airport Ireland CEO, John Mulhern.
