THE Gateway Bar and Restaurant at Kerry Airport is to get a new look for the New Year.
Work on the four-week refurbishment is set to start on Monday, January 12, during which time the queuing system and general ambience of the restaurant will be transformed.
A coffee dock facility within the departures area for outbound passengers to avail of tea, coffee, sandwiches and light snacks will be open during the month-long improvement works, while the bar and restaurant in the main airport concourse will be closed to facilitate the refurbishment.

The Financial Controller at Kerry Airport, Basil Sheerin, said: “The recent redevelopment of the pre-boarding area in our departures lounge has been a great success and now it’s time for the bar and restaurant to follow suit. On completion of the work, we will be introducing a more efficient queuing system, incorporating a new self-service area.”
In what can only be described as a comprehensive programme of work within a short time-frame, the restaurant will be fitted out with new catering equipment and an overall upgrade to lighting, furnishings, and décor.
The Board of Kerry Airport accept that there is never a good time to close an important facility like a restaurant and the Management at Kerry Airport kindly ask their customers to bear with them during this period.
