Kerry Among Counties With New COVID-19 Cases In Past 24 Hours

THE official number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county since the start of the pandemic is still at 328, but Kerry has seen at least one new case over the past day.

53 new cases over the past 24 hours were confirmed nationally by the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) this evening.

25 are in Dublin, 11 in Limerick and the remaining 17 cases are located in Kildare, Longford, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Laois, Meath, Roscommon, Tipperary, Westmeath.

The number of people who have tested positive for the virus in the Republic of Ireland so far, now stands at 28,811.

There were no additional deaths from the virus reported this evening in Ireland.  The total number of people who have died after contracting COVID-19 is 1,777.
